It’s that time again! Marvel Snapshot (Free) is saying goodbye to Deadpool and his wacky friends, closing the restaurant, and moving on to another season. After all this chaos, it’s time to move on to something a little more organized. There’s nothing more organized than a team, especially when we’re talking about the Avengers! What? Oh, this is young The Avengers. Well, I’m sure they’re well organized. More than Deadpool, anyway. Let’s take a look at the details!

As usual, you can watch a video which outlines everything and is quite entertaining. If you can’t or don’t want to, allow me to break down the new season for you. Let’s start with season pass character Kate Bishop. She is 2 cost 3 power, and when you play as her, she has a “reveal” ability that randomly adds two of four arrows to your hand, each with its own ability. I can imagine her fitting into a lot of decks, and certainly collectors will have a new friend.

Okay, now on to the new cards available in the token store and cache this season. First up is Marvel Boy, a 3-cost 2-power card whose ability gives your three 1-cost cards +1 power at the end of each turn. Phew, this can be strong in some decks. Wiccan is 4-Cost 7-Power, and has the On Reveal ability, which gives you +2 max power… if and only if you spend all Energy per turn of the game so far.

You can’t have Billy without Tommy, can you? Has a speed of 3 and costs 3 strength, and has the ongoing ability where he gains +1 strength every turn you spend all your energy on. Double incentive to use this juice! While we’re on the subject of family, what about Billy’s husband Teddy? Emperor Hulk is a 6 cost 11 power, and at the start of the game he will randomly copy the text of a 6 cost card. Well, that’s interesting.

We also have two new locations to enjoy. A destroyed mansion will add a rock at the location and place vibranium into your hand. Next is the clubhouse, and when the club is filled, your cards in other locations will gain +1 power. Pile them in! It’s increasingly important to keep some sort of cleanup method in your deck if you have the time.

That’s what this season of Young Avengers is all about. We’ll have a deckbuilding guide ready for you in a day or two as we see how Kate and Marvel Boy mesh with the meta, but I don’t think they’ll have too much trouble with Arishem decks. What do you think of this new season? See the card you want to add to your deck? Let us know in the comments!
