Toast or Anime: Which is the Best Thing?
A tough choice in today’s Best Thing Ever bracket.
The Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Tournament is well into Round 2 now. For those who missed the exercise, we started with 64 reasonably good things in life, seeding them into a 64-team bracket just like March Madness. Each day we run two posts, asking you to vote on the head-to-head matchup. The winners in Round 2 will head to the Sweet Sixteen. This is our way of adding a little extra conversation during the slow parts of the NBA summer.
This post asks you to choose between Toast and Anime.
For such a basic food item, Toast had a pretty good showing in Round 1. You can put butter on it, add jelly, or go all the way with avocado, egg, or almost anything you desire! That little crispy square of bread is a near-perfect receptacle for any taste you want to add to it! They don’t say, “This is the best thing since sliced Naruto,” right?
On the other hand, Anime is all the rage with the younger generations. These Japanese animated features delve deep into human emotion, often juxtaposing it with cosmic conflicts, creating deep and satisfying narrative arcs. The artwork is pretty cool too!
