Loot Hacker Sprites are the fourth variant tier added to Fortnite in Chapter 7 Season 4, arriving with the v42.10 update on September 3, 2026. There are 15 of them in total, each carrying a bluish tint with scanning lines that make them tricky to spot from a distance. Every Sprite this season has a Loot Hacker version except Mega Man. Most are found through Cheat Codes and chest drops, but one, the Loot Hacker Crown Sprite, requires a specific chain of Victory Royales to earn.

What do Loot Hacker Sprites do in Fortnite?

Every Loot Hacker Sprite applies the same passive bonus: a 1.2x (+20%) boost to your Loot Hack chances whenever you search a Chest during a Battle Royale or Zero Build match. That stacks meaningfully over a full match, particularly if you are actively running a loot-focused strategy. For more on how Loot Hacks work and how to build around them, check out the full Fortnite Loot Hacks guide.

The full roster includes winners from the ‘Design a Sprite’ contest alongside returning fan favorites. The Loot Hacker Klombo Sprite is currently the rarest of the group.

    tip
Loot Hacker Sprites cannot be obtained through Lobby Hack Admin Panel codes. Cheat Codes, chest drops, eliminating players carrying them, and trading are the only routes for the non-Crown variants.

Where to find Loot Hacker Sprites on the map

The table above lists the primary Cheat Code locations for each variant, but Loot Hacker Sprites can also spawn across the broader island outside those named POIs. Attending Fortnite Sprite Events is the most reliable way to improve your odds, since spawn rates for all Sprites get a boost during those windows. The Loot Hacker Klombo Sprite is exclusive to Stone Sanctum, making it the hardest to farm consistently.

The three Sonic-universe Sprites (Sonic, Tails, Shadow) are all locked to Green Hill Zone, so dropping there in a single match gives you a shot at all three Cheat Code locations at once.

How to unlock the Loot Hacker Crown Sprite

The Crown Sprite is Mythic and operates on a completely different unlock path from every other Loot Hacker variant. There are no chest drops, no Cheat Codes, and no trading shortcuts. The only currency that matters here is Victory Royales.

The Crown chain works in a fixed sequence. You cannot skip steps, and wins with any other Sprite equipped do not count toward Crown progression.

    • Step 1: Win any Battle Royale match. The base Crown Sprite unlocks automatically and lands in your collection without needing extraction.
    • Step 2: Equip the base Crown Sprite and win one match with it equipped. That single win jumps it from Level 1 straight to Level 5 Master and awards the Cheat Master Crown Sprite.
    • Step 3: Equip the Cheat Master Crown Sprite and win one match. Mastering it unlocks the Gold Crown Sprite.
    • Step 4: Equip the Gold Crown Sprite and win one more match. Getting it to Level 5 immediately awards the Loot Hacker Crown Sprite.

The full sequence is: Base Crown > Cheat Master Crown > Gold Crown > Loot Hacker Crown. Starting from zero, that is four total Victory Royales.

    warning
Obtaining a Crown variant through trading does not count toward mastery. You still need the win with that specific variant equipped on your back. Trading shortcuts the collection but not the progression.

Epic Games reduced the mastery requirement after launch. Previously, players had to win multiple consecutive matches with the same Crown Sprite equipped without losing. Now a single win per variant is enough to hit Level 5 Master, which makes the grind significantly more manageable.

Why isn’t my Crown chain progressing?

There are a few ways this goes wrong. The most common issue is winning with the wrong Sprite equipped. Mastering the Adventure Sprite or any other non-Crown Sprite does nothing for Crown progression. The win has to happen with the exact Crown variant in the active slot.

Skipping ahead is also not possible. The Gold Crown is the only variant whose mastery directly pays out the Loot Hacker version, so you cannot bypass Cheat Master and go straight to Gold.

Each new variant appears in your collection the moment the previous one hits Level 5, at the end of the winning match rather than after any additional delay. Check the Crown row in your Sprite collection immediately after a win to confirm the next variant has unlocked before queuing into the next game.

How rare are Loot Hacker Sprites?

Loot Hacker Sprites are more common than the base Klombo Sprite. The estimated drop rate sits around 0.50%, though Epic has not published exact figures. The Loot Hacker Crown Sprite is technically the most accessible of the group since its unlock path is deterministic: four wins, done. Every other Loot Hacker variant depends on RNG chest drops or finding Cheat Codes in the right locations.

For a deeper look at tracking down rarer Sprite variants and farming Sprite Dust efficiently, the Fortnite Sprite Hunt Rift Anomaly guide covers how to use buried chests to target specific drops.

    tip
Loot Hacker Sprites release on September 10, 2026 at 9 AM EDT for Battle Royale and Zero Build. The Loot Hacker Crown Sprite went live earlier with the September 3 v42.10 update since it is earned rather than dropped.

For everything else happening in Chapter 7 Season 4, the Fortnite guides hub keeps all the current season content in one place.
