Earlier this year, Sophie Cunningham made it clear that her ambitions stretch well beyond the basketball court. The Indiana Fever star signed with 3 Arts Sports in January 2026, adding a major entertainment-focused partnership to a career that already includes professional basketball and podcasting. The move signals a new chapter for Cunningham, who is positioning herself for opportunities in media, entertainment and business while continuing to make her mark in the WNBA.
Sophie Cunningham takes her WNBA career into entertainment
Cunningham’s agreement with 3 Arts Sports, announced on January 29, 2026, gives her team a new route to develop opportunities outside basketball. She will continue working with her longtime agent Perry Rogers, the CEO and founder of PRP, while 3 Arts Sports works alongside her existing representation. The goal is not to leave basketball behind. Instead, Cunningham is looking to make the most of the attention and personality she has built through the sport.“We’re excited to partner with 3 Arts Sports to combine our expertise on the court and in marketing with their knowledge in media and entertainment to provide the strongest network for a true multi-hyphenate athlete,” Rogers said. “Sophie is as dynamic as they come, and it was important to us to curate a team around her who can execute that vision beyond the court.”That final phrase captures what makes the move notable. Cunningham is not being positioned simply as an athlete looking for a side project. Her representation is building a wider platform around her.She has already taken an early step into that world through her podcast, “Show Me Something.” Podcasting gives Cunningham a space where basketball statistics take a back seat to personality, conversation and storytelling. That experience can also help her develop the skills needed for a broader entertainment career. For a player who has become one of the recognizable personalities in the WNBA, that expansion makes sense.
How Sophie Cunningham is building a career beyond basketball
Cunningham’s growing profile has been shaped by what she does on the court, but her appeal also comes from the way she presents herself away from games. Her partnership with 3 Arts Sports reflects that broader potential. Aaron and André Eanes, co-heads of 3 Arts Sports, described Cunningham as an athlete whose identity extends beyond competition.“Sophie represents the modern athlete — bold, expressive, and driven by purpose beyond the game,” they said. “She brings a strong point of view, natural charisma, and a clear vision for where she wants to go next. We’re excited to work alongside her existing team to help build a platform that extends her impact into entertainment, storytelling, and meaningful business opportunities.”The strategy places Cunningham within a growing group of athletes who have turned their sporting fame into larger entertainment and business careers. LeBron James, Peyton Manning, Stephen Curry, Megan Rapinoe, Sue Bird and Blake Griffin have all explored production and media ventures, showing how professional athletes can build lasting identities beyond their playing careers.

Cunningham is taking a similar path, but with her own voice. Her timing is also significant. She helped the Indiana Fever win the Commissioner’s Cup in 2025, giving her another major achievement to add to her basketball résumé. Now, the challenge is to translate that momentum into a career that can continue evolving even when the lights of the basketball arena eventually fade. For Cunningham, the next goal is not simply to become more famous. It is to become more versatile.Basketball opened the door. Media, entertainment and business could determine how far she ultimately walks through it.
