Blox Fruits Update 30 dropped on September 5, 2026, and it’s one of the most substantial patches the game has seen in years. The entire First Sea has been rebuilt from scratch, a brand-new fruit with a mech transformation is in the wild, and the level cap has finally moved past 2800 for the first time in a long time. If you’ve been sitting on 2800 with nothing to chase, that changes today. This guide covers everything: the full Magnet Fruit moveset, how the Maximum Overdrive transformation works, all 40 Sea 1 Secrets, and how the hourly Magnet Event fits into your grind.

What is the Magnet Fruit and how does Magnetic Power work?

The Magnet Fruit is Update 30’s headline addition, and its core mechanic sets it apart from every other fruit currently in Roblox. Instead of a flat power level, the fruit runs on a stacking meter called Magnetic Power that fills as you collect scrap scattered around the world. As the meter climbs, the fruit’s arms physically grow larger, your M1 attacks hit harder, your M1 combo extends, and you gain extra defense.

There are three Magnetic Power stages, and the system cuts both ways. Stage 3 turns you into a genuine threat, but taking damage drains the meter and can knock you back down a stage. The fruit rewards constant aggression and punishes players who sit back and absorb hits.

Alongside the meter, the Magnetic Pull passive scales with your current stage:

At Stage 3 you’re pulling groups of enemies directly into your combos, which makes Magnet one of the better crowd-control fruits in the current roster.

    Magnet Fruit base moveset (Z, X, C, F)

Every Magnet ability has a tap version and a hold version, which effectively doubles the kit. Here’s the complete base-form breakdown:

The F grab that strips a sword is the standout move in PvP. Forcing a swordmain to re-equip mid-fight hands you a free combo window. Flight isn’t unlimited either: taking multiple hits within 10 seconds cuts it short, so use it for repositioning rather than camping the air.

How does the Maximum Overdrive transformation work?

Press V to activate Maximum Overdrive, which turns you into a heavily armored mech. Transformed, you take reduced damage and guns barely register, but lightning attacks hit you for more than normal. That’s an actual exploitable weakness, not a footnote.

Pressing V again ejects you from the mech, which then pulls nearby enemies toward itself and self-destructs for a final area blast.

What do mastery requirements look like for Magnet Fruit?

You don’t get the full kit immediately. Only Scrap Arsenal is available at Mastery 1, and the rest unlock as you grind:

The Magnet Fruit costs 3,500 Robux at standard price in the Permanent Fruit Shop, dropping to 2,800 Robux with the Plus discount. It can also spawn in the world and show up at the Fruit Shop like any other fruit. For context on how different fruits stack up against each other, the Blox Fruits devil fruit tier list covers the full ranking across every fruit in the game.

What changed in the Sea 1 rework?

All 16 First Sea islands have been rebuilt with new layouts, buildings, textures, and lighting. Places like Pirate Village, Desert, Marine Fortress, the Colosseum, Prison, Magma Village, Sky Island, and Underwater City look substantially different, and several have reworked interiors rather than just fresh geometry on the outside.

Every Sea 1 boss has been refreshed and now hides a secret awakened mode. NPCs received updated appearances alongside a new dialogue UI. The Gacha Dealer relocated to Middletown, so don’t waste time looking for it in the old spot.

Quality-of-life changes apply across all three seas:

    • Reworked HUD and stats menu
    • New loading screen and team selection screen
    • Updated player profile with new tabs, friend indicators, and a search function
    • Weapon Dealers now let you examine a weapon before buying
    • Boat Dealers let you preview ships you’ve unlocked
    • Boss drops are previewed as you approach, so you know what’s on the table before committing to the fight
    • New NPC dialogue UI

How do the 40 Sea 1 Secrets and the level 3000 cap work?

Normal grinding still stops at level 2800. The path past that runs through Island Secrets: 40 hidden interactions spread across the reworked Sea 1 islands. Completing them awards Secret levels that stack on top of the 2800 ceiling. Clear every current secret level and you land at level 3000.

Secrets come in three forms: small puzzles, randomly spawning quests, and fights against awakened versions of Sea 1 bosses. A Secrets Master NPC has also been added to Sea 1 and is sitting on a secret of his own.

Completing your first secret unlocks the World Map on your HUD, which tracks every island and shows your progress:

Three-starring an island unlocks it as a teleport destination. The more islands you clear, the larger your fast travel network grows across the First Sea. That’s the real reason to chase secrets after you’ve already hit max level: the teleporters turn a sailing grind into a quick-select menu.

    tip
Complete one secret anywhere in Sea 1 first to switch on the World Map, then work island by island for three-star clears. Unlocking teleporters early makes the rest of the secret hunt dramatically faster.

How does the Magnet Event work and what can you get from the gacha?

Every hour at the XX:00 mark, Magnetic enemies spawn across the world equipped with their own Magnet abilities. They’re not reskinned mobs: they fight differently from standard enemies. Defeating them drops Magnet Tokens.

Take those tokens to the Blox Fruits Gacha Dealer in Middletown to roll the Magnet Gacha. The pool excludes common fruits entirely, so every roll lands on uncommon or better. The gacha also contains one profile background, two accessories, a secret reward, and a shot at a skinned fruit from the chase tier.

    • Lime Blade
    • Topaz Diamond
    • Scarlet Ghost
    • Yellow Lightning
    • Starlight Gravity
    • Runic Fiend
    • Arcsteel Magnet

Those same skins are available in the shop as the Chromatic Gacha Box if you’d rather skip the token grind. Drop rates for the gacha aren’t published by the developer, so any percentage chart floating around online is an estimate.

Dragon East and Dragon West are also now rollable at the Blox Fruits Gacha Dealer as part of the Update 30 changes.

What’s the best way to start Update 30 if you’re already at level 2800?

The practical order is straightforward. Complete one secret anywhere in Sea 1 to unlock the World Map, then work through islands systematically for three-star clears. Teleporters unlock as you go, which makes the later islands much less painful to reach. The Magnet Event runs on the hour regardless of where you are, so you can bank tokens while hunting secrets without needing to stop and grind separately.

If you’re newer to the game and want to build a solid foundation before tackling Sea 1 Secrets, the Blox Fruits beginners guide covers combat strategies, stat builds, and island progression. Active codes for free XP boosts and stat resets can also speed up the early climb: check the Blox Fruits codes guide for everything currently working.
