If you have already made your way throughThe Gentlemen Season 2 and are wondering whether Eddie Horniman’s criminal empire will live to see another day, Netflix has some good news. The Gentlemen is officially returning for Season 3.

Netflix actually made the decision before Season 2 arrived on September 3, confirming the renewal in August alongside the release of the second season’s full trailer. Clearly, the streamer wasn’t interested in waiting around to see how audiences responded before getting Guy Ritchie’s crime drama back in business.

“The ambition ofThe Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight,” Ritchie said when Netflix announced the renewal. “A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further.”

What Do We Know About The Gentlemen Season 3?

Season 3 will consist of eight <a href="https://comicvibe.com/watch-how-the-tudors-lost-their-heads-full-episodes-2/” title=”Watch How the Tudors Lost Their Heads | Full episodes”>episodes, matching the episode counts of the show’s first two seasons. Ritchie is returning to direct and will once again co-write the series with Matthew Read. Beyond that, Netflix is keeping most of its cards close to the vest.

No official Season 3 synopsis has been released, and the complete returning cast has not yet been announced. Considering Theo James and Kaya Scodelario are at the center of the series as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass, however, all eyes will be on what comes next for the pair as the show’s criminal world continues to expand.

And it sounds like we may not have to wait too long for production to get underway. James recently said work on Season 3 would begin “pretty soon,” while explaining that the creative team already knows the general trajectory for the characters.

That lines up with earlier reports that Season 3 was already in pre-production when Netflix announced the renewal.

When Will The Gentlemen Season 3 Premiere?

Here’s where the bad news comes in: Netflix hasn’t announced a premiere date for Season 3.

The first season debuted in March 2024, while Season 2 arrived more than two years later on September 3, 2026. With Netflix giving Season 3 such an early green light and production expected to get moving soon, hopefully viewers won’t be looking at another two-and-a-half-year wait. For now, though, any potential release window would be speculation.

What About Those Meghan Markle Rumors?

Season 3 has also generated plenty of attention thanks to reports surrounding Meghan Markle and a possible role in the series.

Despite all the chatter, Netflix has not officially announced Markle as part of the Season 3 cast. Theo James has also played down the speculation, describing much of the conversation surrounding her potential appearance as “a lot of hot air.”

So, at least for now, consider this one a rumor rather than a casting announcement.

What isn’t a rumor isThe Gentlemen Season 3 itself. Netflix has already placed its bet on another chapter of Guy Ritchie’s increasingly ambitious criminal world, meaning Season 2 isn’t the end of Eddie and Susie’s story.

The Gentlemen Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now on Netflix. A premiere date for Season 3 has not been announced.
