President Donald Trump took on the role of a comic book superhero in a new AI-generated video shared by the White House over the weekend.
The White House posted a video Sunday depicting the president as Green Lantern, the DC Comics superhero known for using a powerful ring to create energy constructs.
“In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!” the White House wrote alongside the video, borrowing from the character’s well-known oath.
The AI-generated clip begins with Trump raising his hand and displaying a glowing green ring on his middle finger. Moments later, the ring begins radiating green light as the president appears to activate its powers.
The video then moves into a series of scenes highlighting themes associated with Trump’s political agenda.
In one sequence, a group of people is shown running toward the president before Trump uses the ring to rapidly construct what appears to be a border wall.
Another scene depicts an industrial city illuminated in green as the words “American Manufacturing” appear across the screen, tying the superhero imagery to Trump’s push to increase domestic manufacturing.
The Green Lantern video was not the only AI-generated imagery involving the president to appear online Sunday.
Trump also shared several futuristic images on his Truth Social account.
One showed the president standing in front of two towering humanoid robots with several additional machines visible behind him.
“THEY WILL DREAM OF US FOREVER,” text across the image read.
Trump followed that with another AI-generated image depicting himself seated in a throne-like chair inside what appeared to be a futuristic command center, again surrounded by robots.
“GIVE THEM NIGHTMARES,” the image read.
The posts are the latest examples of Trump and the White House embracing AI-generated content to promote the president and his agenda on social media.
