Disney+ has decided to not move forward with its planned live-action “Power Rangers” series, TheWrap has learned.

Deadline has reported that Disney+ has scrapped the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series that has been in development for the last year. Before it landed at Disney, Netflix spent two years developing a Power Rangers franchise, which then fell apart as well. Those Rangers can’t catch a break.

At Disney’s D23 fan event, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the stellar cast for the upcoming ‘X-Men’ movie. The highly anticipated announcement included actors like Sadie Sink and Adam Driver, drawing significant attention from fans and the media. The movie is scheduled for release in May 2028.
