5 Best Collectibles To Invest in the Second Half of 2026

Collectibles are speculative investments. They don’t generate interest, and resale prices can swing dramatically. But still, scarcity, nostalgia and major cultural moments can create opportunities for collectors who know what to watch.

Check It Out:8 Collectibles Popular Among Gen Z Expected To Soar in Value Before the End of 2026

Here are five collectibles worth looking into for the second half of 2026.

    1. Pokémon 30th Anniversary Products

Pokémon’s 30th Celebration Trading Card Game expansion arrives Sept. 16. This is going to be one of 2026’s biggest collectible events, with the legendary Pokémon artist Ken Sugimori returning for a new Pikachu illustration. Whether you’re a Pokémon fan or not, these anniversary products are worth checking out due to their potential value.

For example, Pokémon’s 25th anniversary Ultra-Premium Collection originally retailed for $119.99, but is now selling for around $1,400 on eBay as of August 2026.

That doesn’t guarantee 30th-anniversary products will repeat the performance, but limited products like these may have better staying power than individual cards produced in large numbers.

    2. Retired LEGO Sets

LEGO investing depends heavily on picking the right theme and set, but generally speaking, licensed sets with exclusive minifigures and strong fan bases may have the best chance of growing in value.

For example, the Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition (which retired in March) had an original retail price of $429.99. Now, it’s valued at $790 sealed.

    3. Soccer Rookie Cards

The 2026 World Cup has put another global spotlight on soccer collectibles, especially rookie cards of young stars like Lamine Yamal.

For example, a PSA 10 2023 Donruss Optic Rated Rookie Lamine Yamal #177 reached its highest trading price of $350 on August 1 right after his World Cup win, up almost $200 from before the tournament started.

That said, player performance and injuries can also quickly change prices.

    4. Limited Labubu and Pop Mart Figures

A good example is the Pop Mart Labubu Jazz Figure, which retailed for $40 in April and is now selling for $99. Note that Pop Mart is also expanding its characters into experiences and <a href="https://comicvibe.com/sports-entertainment-group-asxseg-advertising-trends-and-digital-expansion-shape-the-media-story/” title=”Sports Entertainment Group (ASX:SEG): Advertising Trends and Digital Expansion Shape the Media Story”>entertainment, including a Labubu film project, which could help keep the character popular for many more years to come.

    5. Vintage Nintendo Games

Vintage Nintendo games may also be worth investing in, especially if they’re sealed.

For example, earlier this year, a sealed copy of Super Mario Bros sold at auction for a whopping $3 million, beating the previous $2 million record set in a 2021 private sale. Of course, most vintage games won’t sell for anywhere close to that amount, but if you’re able to find well-preserved copies of popular Nintendo titles, they could still have strong resale potential.

Before buying collectibles, though, make sure to factor in marketplace fees, grading and storage costs, and avoid putting money into collectibles that you can’t afford to leave tied up for years.
