RUMOR: Supposed insidetendo

Nintendo is just days away from bringing fans a double dose of Nintendo Directs, with one showcase focusing completely on Zelda and the other being a traditional Direct. Nintendo faithful are champing at the bit to see what the Big N has up their sleeve when it comes to Switch 2 (and potentially Switch), but rumor has it some of their major offerings have already been spoiled.
Apparent industry insider Malo932 has come forth with a round of very big games that Nintendo is supposedly cooking up. For those unfamiliar, Malo932 has quite the track record when it comes to revealing what Nintendo is up to, as they accurately leaked news of StarFox on Switch 2, Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, and also shared that Nintendo was preparing a double Nintendo Direct before Nintendo themselves made the announcement. We’re not saying that all of Malo932’s info is legit, but when they share details it’s certainly worth considering.
Whenever Nintendo Directs come around, some people want to be completely surprised while others want to read every leak their is to see what ends up being true or false. In the interest of keeping things a secret should these predictions/leaks be accurate, we’ll post the specifics after the jump. Read on at your own risk!
According to Malo932, here’s what Nintendo is currently working on:
- A brand new Smash Bros game
- Nintendogs is coming back
- Mario Kart World DLC coming in 2027 featuring Fox McCloud
- New Star Fox Adventures game in development
- 3D Mario
- Wario Land
- New 2D Metroid
- Super Metroid pixel art remake
That’s quite a healthy slate of projects to be very excited about! There are a couple of rumored games we’ve heard about before in there, but there’s also plenty of new titles that we’re hearing about for the first time.
Again, with just a few days left until Nintendo’s two Nintendo Directs, there’s a chance at least some of these titles could be confirmed. If that ends up being the case, then it’ll certainly lend credibility to the rest of the list. I guess we’ll see how things pan out come September 9th, 2026!
