BALTIMORE (WBFF) —Four people have been arrested in connection to exhibition driving and gun possession in Baltimore’s Entertainment District.
On August 29 around 3 a.m., police officers conducting enforcement in Fells Point saw a vehicle performing donuts, driving recklessly, and obstructing traffic.
Authorities said that three passengers were also seen hanging out of the vehicle’s windows. When police approached, they said the vehicle fled the area.
A short time later, police said they located the disabled vehicle in the 200 block of Bethel Street unoccupied.
Authorities said that they were able to quickly locate three female passengers: 30, 33, and 46-year-old women.
When police searched the vehicle, they found two loaded guns, including a Smith & Wesson and a Glock 43X with an obscured serial number.
Baltimore Police Department (BPD) said that they identified the driver of the vehicle, and obtained a search warrant for their residence.
With the assistance of the BPD SWAT team, authorities executed the warrant at a home in the 1700 block of E. Federal Street.
During that search, police recovered six more guns, including rifles, as well as various gun accessories.
Authorities served an arrest warrant on 34-year-old Demetrius Thompson, who had an active Baltimore City Sheriff’s warrant.
Thompson is prohibited from possessing guns due to prior convictions.
He was taken to Central Booking and is now facing charges.
