Amelia Dimoldenberg Is Ending Chicken Shop Date

Amelia Dimoldenberg’s massively popular Chicken Shop Dateseries is coming to an end. After 12 years of nuggets, awkward chat, and a very compelling will-they-won’t-they with Andrew Garfield, Dimoldenberg announced on Thursday that she’s wrapping up the show, but not before going on a few more dates.

“I have spent my entire twenties sat across from the most incredible people, people I’d always dreamt of meeting,” Dimoldenberg wrote in a note on social media. “To me the show is my very own romcom and I have loved creating so many stories for you to watch. I am so grateful to everyone who has followed me on this journey and found some joy in these episodes.”

Dimoldenberg added that she “never thought” she would end Chicken Shop Date, but “it’s now time to move on from this adventure and onto a new one.” She made sure to note that CSDis not ending abruptly and that there will be more videos (and dates) coming soon.

So who’s on the docket? Dimoldenberg didn’t give any clues about her final dates, but we can speculate. Maybe she’ll bring back fan favorites like Matty Healy or Jack Harlow. Or maybe she’ll opt to bring in huge A-listers to go out with a bang. Taylor Swift was recently spotted in London — maybe she split a plate of chips with Dimoldenberg while she was over there?

Congratulations are in order for Dimoldenberg, who managed to create one of the biggest celebrity-interview shows and keep it independently owned the entire time.
