Cricketer Rohit Sharma is all set to explore a completely new side of his personality as he steps into the world of television with Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming game show Family Full House.

The former India captain has begun shooting for the show and gave fans a glimpse of his first day on the sets, marking the beginning of his journey as a host.

Family Full House starring Rohit Sharma is set to air for the first time on September 19, 2026, on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV. The moment the cameras began to roll, it seemed like Rohit was settling into his new role and was enjoying being part of the entertainment world from the host’s table.

A behind-the-scenes glimpse at what goes on backstage shows Rohit becoming comfortable with the sets and getting a taste of life in an environment quite unlike the cricket pitch.

While Rohit has handled pressure situations throughout his career as a cricketer, there is a whole new set of instincts that he needs in his new role.

Interestingly, the sets have also been given a personal touch that reflects Rohit’s cricketing journey. His customised lounge features his iconic jersey framed on the wall, a ‘Hitman’ carving on the rafter wall, as well as his helmet and bat displayed on a shelf. The blue-themed space adds to the sporting feel while giving the lounge a distinct Rohit touch.

For Rohit, this marks a shift from reading the game on the cricket field to reading the room in a television studio. Known for his calm demeanour, natural humour and ability to handle high-pressure situations, he will now get the chance to bring those qualities to a completely different format.

In the first glimpse itself, we get a picture of Rohit enjoying the vibrant ambience of Family Full House while getting adjusted in the role of the host. Being a long-time entertainer of cricket fans with his entertaining field presence and candid nature, this show promises the audience to view him in a different guise.

With the first shoot now underway, Rohit’s transition from the cricket pitch to the television studio has officially begun. Whether his trademark timing and instinct translate just as smoothly to the entertainment space is something viewers will discover when Family Full House premieres on September 19.

Family Full House with Rohit Sharma will air on Sony Entertainment Television and stream on Sony LIV from September 19, 2026.
