Here’s what we’re watching all month — and how you can too!
August is bringing the heat—literally, yes. But also to our big and small screens. This month sees the return of some of our faves, like the oh-so-sexy women of Lioness, and we get one last hurrah with Madison Bailey in The Outer Banks as the series begins its final season. But August is also bringing us some new cinematic treats that are sure to become forever favorites. Right at the top of that list is Jane Schoenbrun’s steamy new slasher (sort of) romance, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, and Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat team up for the stoner buddy comedy we’ve been craving. Plus, this month history will be made as the inaugural season of Women’s Professional Baseball makes its way to the plate. How gay is it? Very.
So yes, we are very much seated.

Women’s Professional Baseball League Opening Day — August 1
Synopsis: Beginning this August, the inaugural season of the Women’s Pro Baseball League will see the best women in the sport go head-to-head, representing Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. The regular season will take place over six weeks, from August 1st to September 6th, with teams fighting for position in the first-ever WPBL Playoffs, culminating in September’s WPBL Championship.

Lioness (Season 3) — August 2
Synopsis:In Season three, hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide. Joe (Saldaña) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Ted Lasso (Season 4) — August 5
Synopsis:Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
Teenage Sex & Death at Camp Miasma — August 7
Synopsis: Follows a young director (Einbinder) enthusiastic about resurrecting the Camp Miasma slash franchise after years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom. But when she visits the original movie’s star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear and delirium.
The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip — August 9
Synopsis: In this special event series, a group of beloved Housewives from across the years embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, making their way through some of the most memorable locations in the franchise’s history. Starting where it all began in Orange County and culminating in an epic east coast grand finale, each stop will feature appearances by fan favorites from different cities to pay tribute to the past, embrace the present and look toward the many miles still ahead.
Katseye: Wild Hearts — August 12

The Wrong Girls — August 14
Synopsis:Frankie (Stewart) and Molly (Shawkat) are close friends struggling financially, getting by on minimal earnings and frequent marijuana use. Their routine is disrupted when they are mistakenly identified as someone else, leading to unexpected complications.
Outer Banks (season 5) — August 20
Synopsis: Season 5 finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point following the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco. Stranded far from home and mourning the heart of their crew, they’ve lost the Blue Crown and continue to face a gauntlet of familiar threats.
