Anker makes cables, chargers, hubs, and audio gear, but it doesn’t actually make Xbox-specific accessories. However, Anker makes tech that works with your Xbox Series X, as well as your smartphones, tablets, and more. This Anker gear will plug straight into the Xbox Series X and controllers, but it’s a picky console. No native Bluetooth support for headsets or controllers, a USB-A port on the front, and a USB-C port at the back aren’t ideal for a $799.99 console. Luckily, I’ve made sure that every Anker product is compatible with Xbox Series X consoles and controllers.

These five picks include a USB-C charging cable, a powerful charging station to power game setup accessories, an HDMI switch to fit an Xbox into the family setup, a USB-C hub for external storage, and a budget ANC headphone set that will outperform most gaming headsets in its price range. For readers who want a clean Xbox Series X setup with more ports, no more disposable batteries, high-definition personal audio, and the quality of Anker products, this list has everything you need.

    Anker USB-C to USB-C 60W Charging Cable

Unless players want to pay out for an Xbox Elite controller, they’ll have to use disposable batteries to power their controllers. Yes, I’m well aware the rest of the industry is past this. However, users can pick up a two-pack of rechargeable Xbox controller battery packs for as little as $9.99, which is where this Anker charging cable pack comes in clutch.

Two six-foot USB-C to USB-C 60W cables for $9.99 is a solid deal, and they’ll charge an Xbox controller quickly so you can keep gaming longer, thanks to their long reach and tough braided cable insulation. Plus, they’re flexible enough to handle wired controller play and the kids raging when they lose a game of Fortnite, by which I mean myself. For comparison, the official Xbox USB-C cable costs $7.28 and doesn’t offer the same braided build quality or 60W charging.

Players can plug the cable directly into the USB-C port on the back of the Xbox Series X, so the controller can charge while in use. Users could also use another power source for charging, which I’ll break down next. But the cable’s 5,000-bend lifespan and 60W power delivery support make it a perfect solution for keeping players in the game without the gaming label tax. I use these cables myself to keep my Nintendo Switch 2 running on the go with my power bank, so charging a controller quickly won’t be an issue.

    Anker Prime Charging Station (200W)

Of course, players can find a cheaper wall charger for their Xbox controllers. Anker offers a 65W 3-port charger for $29.99, along with other newer Anker releases that would do the job. The problem is that 65W is split evenly across all plugged-in devices, so to get full charging speeds, players would have to plug in one controller at a time. That means no charging for smartphones or tablets while you play on the go.

The Anker Prime 200W 6-port GaN charger is a beast at $69.99 (MSRP $79.99). Each of the two USB-C ports delivers 100W Power Delivery, making it a great hub for charging a phone, controllers, headsets, and more all at once. This is my main charger for all my tech on my bedside table, and it charges my retro handhelds, Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra, ROG Phone 9, and Pixel Watch 3 all at the same time with no issues.

It makes for a great charging solution in gaming setups, not just Xbox Series X accessories. So for readers who have a PS5, Switch 2, and gaming PC all in one place, this charger makes sure that keeping everything charged while throwing a Series X into the mix isn’t going to be a problem. Plus, this solution keeps the Xbox Series X USB-C port free for other accessories.

    Anker 4K 60Hz HDMI Switch

When considering adding an Xbox Series X to a gaming setup that already has a couple of consoles and a gaming PC plugged into a monitor or TV, there’s a good chance there’s not a spare HDMI port for the Series X. There’s plenty of cheap HDMI splitter and switch solutions knocking around the likes of Amazon and Best Buy, but most, in my experience anyway, seldom work correctly or only output to 1080p.

The Anker 4-in-1 HDMI Switch turns one HDMI port into four, which is perfect for the aforementioned gaming setup while making room for other tech like soundbars, streaming sticks, set-top boxes, and more. It includes a six-foot 8K HDMI cable to connect the switch to a TV or monitor, plus a USB-A to USB-C cable to power it.

It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz with HDMI 2.1 support, and up to 48 Gbps bandwidth. So for those lucky few who can take advantage of 4K 120FPS gaming on select Xbox Series X titles, this switch won’t bottleneck performance. This isn’t a passive switch; it must be powered when in use, otherwise it won’t work.

    Anker 332 USB-C Hub

Having just one USB-C port at the back of the Xbox Series X is a pain, given its better data and power delivery speeds over USB-A. Wouldn’t it be great if Anker made a solid USB-C hub at a reasonable price to bring USB ports to the front of the console while leaving room for external SSDs? Well, they already do, and it’s an HDMI splitter too for $24.99.

I had two key functions in mind for this USB-C hub. The first is using an external USB-C SSD as storage for game backlogs, since USB-C transfer speeds usually beat typical download speeds. The second is loading it with ripped (and owned) Blu-rays and plugging a local digital library into the Series X, which also has VLC media player available to download.

To set up an external SSD to store games from an Xbox library, you will need to format it first. Make sure nothing on the SSD needs saving, then go to Settings > System > Storage > External Drive to format it. USB-stored games are usually best for Xbox One, backward-compatible titles, and archived games, so don’t plan on using the drive to play the latest and greatest Series X games. To expand internal NVMe storage, you’ll need to buy a “storage expansion card” from brands like SanDisk or Seagate, with the 512GB Optimus GC C50 starting at $119.99.

    Soundcore Q31i ANC Headset

The Xbox Series X doesn’t have native Bluetooth support. Even if someone plugs in a Bluetooth adaptor like the Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2 for multiple high-end codec support, Xbox doesn’t have and won’t pull the necessary drivers to make it work. So suggesting buying a Bluetooth set of headphones sounds ridiculous, right? Wrong.

The Anker Soundcore Q31i ANC headphones offer surprisingly good active noise cancellation and LDAC codec support for $75.99 (MSRP $89.99), and you can connect them to the Xbox Series X wired or wirelessly. The wired option is simple enough: grab a 3.5mm audio cable and plug it into the headset and Xbox controller.

For the wireless option, users may want to look into the Mayflash Magic-X adaptor for $45.99. This Bluetooth adaptor provides standardized support for Bluetooth accessories not meant for use with the big black box. Not only will this let a PS5 DualSense controller work with Xbox Series X, but it will also enable Bluetooth headphones too. For $121.98, gamers can have a set of headphones with premium features that will work with the rest of their tech, plus a USB stick that unlocks Bluetooth restrictions on the Xbox Series X.
