LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —Thousands of fans of Japanese pop culture packed the Los Angeles Convention Center and surrounding venues for the 35th annual Anime Expo, turning the venue into a hub of costumes, panels, and major announcements
The largest anime and manga convention in North America started on July 2 and ended on July 5

Many attendees came dressed as their favorite anime or manga characters and took part in panels hosted by industry professionals or voice actors

The convention also gave media companies, including Bandai Namco, Crunchyroll and Sega, a platform to announce upcoming projects, hold screenings, and offer attendees event-exclusive items for purchase

The event expanded into the surrounding areas such as Crypto.com Arena, The Novo, JW Marriott, L.A. LIVE, and Peacock Place
