Gamescom 2026 is shaping up to be a stacked event so far, as several developers and publishers have confirmed what games they’ll be showing off.
Plenty of planned titles remain a mystery though, so here are our top picks for things we’d like to see while we’re out there.
Crimson DesertDLC
Crimson Desert is one of 2026’s biggest games and fans have been waiting with baited-breath for a new DLC announcement.
An expansion is confirmed to be in development so we’d love to get at least a title, and maybe an update on when we could expect features like multiplayer in the game.
The next Ghost Recon game
Ubisoft recently released a new-gen update for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, which added a new story mission as well as several quality-of-life improvements.
A new Ghost Recon game was confirmed to be in development, so it’s about time we finally see it revealed.
The Witcher 4gameplay
We already know the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s DLC, Songs of the Past, will be shown off, but we’d like to see more of CD Projekt Red’s next game as well.
It’s unlikely, but we can dream.
Fallout 3andFallout: New Vegasremasters
Speaking of unlikely, those Fallout remasters were an exciting announcement earlier this year and if they’ve been in the pipeline for a while, we’d love to see them.
It’s probably wishful thinking as the time they entered development is unknown, though a first-look would be a very exciting reveal.
Professor Layton and The New World of Steamlaunch date
Nintendo keeps its first-party announcements reserved for Nintendo Directs, and third-party titles tend to be held back for Partner Showcases.
However, the odd game could slip through the cracks if it’s big enough, and there are a lotof people waiting to hear the Professor Layton and The New World of Steamrelease date.
Peak console port
With Peak getting its final content update, and games like Big Walk proving ‘friendslop’ is an unfair term, we’d love to see Peak become more widely available to gamers across the world.
A console port is confirmed to be in the works, and hopefully by the time Gamescom rolls, around Aggro Crab will have a date to share.
New Sonic The Hedgehog game
There might be a bit of personal bias slipping in with this one. We’ve got Sonic Pico Park on the way, and the blue blur is tearing its way into Fortnite after years of waiting. We’ll gladly take another game as well though.
Kena: Scars of Kosmora release date
Out of all of PlayStation’s upcoming titles, we’re oddly most excited for Kena: Scars of Kosmora.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date, even though it’s supposed to launch this year. Tell us where Kena is PlayStation.
First-look at Assassin’s Creed Hexe
After teasing us with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, we think it’s high-time Ubisoft shares its first proper look at Assassin’s Creed Hexe.
The latest rumours and leaks have been hit-or-miss. We want to see it with our own eyes before we judge it.
Resident Evil RequiemDLC
We all know it’s in development, and we all want it to star Ada Wong or Jill Valentine. We’re just waiting for Capcom to lock in and deliver us the goods.
In a sick and twisted way, we’re probably more likely to catch another glimpse of Resident Evil Veronica, but it’s about time Requiem got some more love too.
Geoff Keighley Fortnite skin
Here it is. The big one. The white whale. Geoff Keighley is going to take to the stage once again and we think it’s about time both he and Epic Games give us what we want most.
