The rapper is featured in the popular game
Global rap phenomenon Yeat brings his world to Fortnite, with official outfits and accompanying items now available in the Item Shop. Bringing together signature elements of his music, style and larger-than-life universe, the collaboration includes 2 official outfits with over 27 unique style combinations, the Yeat Bell pickaxe, two back blings, two exclusive emotes, and an official Fortnite Kicks version of the Nike x Yeat Air Max Goadome Lyfestyle Corporation, which originally debuted at ComplexCon last year.
The collection puts some of Yeat’s most recognizable references directly into players’ hands. With the “Out thë way” emote, players ride in a mini-Tonka-style truck, while “If We Being Rëal” lets players perform Yeat’s signature one-finger “Aura Transfer” handshake with one another. The official outfits bring both past and present-day versions of Yeat into the Fortnite universe, extending his ever-evolving visual identity into the game.
Beyond the Item Shop, the collaboration gives fans new ways to experience Yeat’s music inside Fortnite. Beginning yesterday (Thurs, Oct 15th), players can interact with the Yeat NPC within Battle Royale to activate a quest to find his “bells,” triggering fan-favorite unreleased track “HeliMan” to play in-game. Upon completion, fans receive “HeliMan” as an official Jam Track.
The music discovery continues in the lobby. Hidden in plain sight throughout the official trailer, Fortnite’s “Lobby Hacks” serve as Easter eggs for fans to uncover. Players can redeem the codes directly in the Fortnite lobby to hear unreleased grails “Lil Krazy,” “Timë Passed,” and “Marching” play out loud as they ready up, the first time Fortnite has ever incorporated unreleased music into the game in this way.
The launch came into focus Wednesday with the release of the official movie-style trailer, starring Yeat as he jumps out of the Battle Bus and enters the Fortnite universe. Featuring both past and present-day versions of his in-game skins, the trailer offered a first look at the collaboration while hiding clues to the unreleased music fans can now unlock.
Immediately upon release, the Yeat bundle became the Item Shop’s best-seller in 183 different countries.
Following the release of his seven-track pack Cocoon, the Fortnite collaboration marks another expansion of Yeat’s creative world. From the bells woven throughout his music to the imagery embraced by his fans, the launch brings defining pieces of his universe into an interactive experience, inviting players to step inside it themselves.
