Voice actorYasuyuki Kasehas been announced as thelatest cast member additionfor the upcomingInherit the Windsoriginal TV anime series. The anime will begin airing in Japan in January 2027.
Kase will voice the lead commander of the Mibu Roshigumi, Serizawa Kamo. He previously voiced Walther Lindstedt inCode Geass: Rozé of the Recapture.

Tomohiro Kawamura(Air Bound) is directing the anime series, withEbina Fumias character designer. The story is inspired by the Tachikawa Jinsuke stage play series byYutaka Narui, who is also in charge of writing the scripts for the series. The anime will be co-produced byLive2D Creative StudioandDrive.

Inherit the Windswas first announced at Aniplex Online Fest in September 2025. The anime takes place during the third year of the Bunkyu era at atime of unrest in Japan. It follows an amnesiac called Tachikawa Jinsuke, whose recollection of his memories has large consequences.
