With Xbox gearing up for a huge next 12 months, filled with in-house game releases and a possible next-generation console, Microsoft has been hard at work building up the Xbox Game Pass portfolio.

Bolstered by new day-one titles like Gears of War E-Day and stellar third-party games like the newly added Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy,Xbox Game Pass is going from strength to Strength.

But with Steam and <a href="https://comicvibe.com/two-playstation-console-exclusives-shutting-down-in-24-hours/” title=”Two PlayStation Console Exclusives Shutting Down in 24 Hours”>PlayStation also upping the ante with freebie offerings, Xbox has been quick to outline eight new games that will be coming in the next year, all of which look to offer something different.

8 new titles confirmed for Xbox Game Pass

The Séance of Blake Manor – October 7, 2026

Released in 2025, The Séance of Blake Manor is a supernatural detective mystery game that will really test your puzzle skills. While solving a disappearance in an eerie, remote hotel, there are spirits beyond this world at work.

While it might be easy to get put off by the cartoonish appearance, the spooky title was extremely highly rated by critics upon release and has remained as one of the best puzzlers on Steam with a 94% positivity rating.

One of Xbox’s few day-one titles, Terrible Lizards is an atmospheric horror with a bunch of beastly baddies.

Littered with parkour elements as you move quickly to escape the gnashers of reptilian monsters, all in the hope of saving a missing child whose location is unknown.

    Neon Abyss 2 – Fall 2026

Also hailing from 2025, Neon Abyss 2 is a 2D co-op action roguelike that oozes Cyberpunk vibes and can be a great game night title with up to four players.

Having been trialled in an Early Access period, the game will be landing on Game Pass as a day-one title when it releases in full later this year. Players will also get a free DLC if they try the early access trial on Steam before the Xbox Game Pass arrival.

    Dumpster Gang – December 2026

Releasing in December, Dumpster Gang is a wild sandbox title where you assume the role of a gang of raccoons and cause utter mayhem in a neighbourhood who have organised a relentless exterminator.

With ridiculous missions lined up, it’s your duty to steal and cause as much chaos as possible. Possibly a great free title for a group games night.

    What Goes Up – 2026

Born into the same genre as the likes of Chained Togetherwith elements of pack-a-punchedTetris, What Goes Up is a co-op physics-building game that lets you build massive junk towers and climb through the clouds before time runs out.

Two-player games have long been on the rise, and What Goes Up certainly looks to fit the mold for a hilarious pastime that will test the strength of your friendships.

Son of Thanjai – Spring 2027

Created by Ayelet Studio, Son of Thanjai is a much more serious game than the last few entries on the list, coming to Game Pass as an open-world action-adventure much akin to Prince of Persia and Indiana Jones.

Set in an alternate-history medieval South India where you play as Vinnendhiran Chola, a prince who has lost his throne but found a whip, you need to rebuild an Empire and rule against threats from every direction.

    Holstin – 2027

Similar to Séance of Blake Manor, Holstinis a pixel-graphic survival horror game that takes you to a town taken over by a mysterious threat.

With a release date yet to be outlined, aside from a 2027 window, reviews for the Holstindemo (2023) are rave, as 94% of users have loved the concept.

    Militsioner – 2027

Finally, Militsioner is the final day-one title announced to be arriving on Game Pass next year, and comes as a first-person stealth title where you have to escape from a giant policeman.

The humorous concept offers entertaining and immersive gameplay where you need to use your wits and charm to manipulate helpers and escape the omnipresent warden.
