Following the reveal of STARCRAFT, Xbox have confirmed the game is also coming to Xbox consoles, and as per this new era, no announcement surrounding PlayStation consoles is in sight just yet.
In case you missed the memo, Blizzcon is happening right now, and there’s been more than few pretty cool announcements. One of the biggest is the return of STARCRAFT in the form of a new open-world shooter. Following the reveal, Microsoft have confirmed it’s coming to Xbox consoles alongside the PC release in 2030, as per the tweet below.
A new StarCraft game was REVEALED at Blizzcon Opening Ceremony AND it’s coming to XBOX console. This new Starcraft is an open world sci-fi shooter set 70 years after Starcraft II in the terran Koprulu Sector | Powered by #XBOXONpic.twitter.com/TNnaUK3I7A

Aarsal, our man on the ground at Blizzcon 2026, captured the crowds reaction. Suffice it to say, they went nuts. Blizzard are on a roll today – they also announced the next game in the Diablo franchise, Diablo V. Not only that, but there’s also World of Warcraft Forever to check out too!
It’s great news for Xbox fans, though of course, in just what form an Xbox will actually take in 2030 is anybody’s guess. Project Helix will surely be out by then, right?
