World Trigger Reboot Anime Reveals First Footage

The World Trigger reboot anime has revealed its first footage and new character designs for the upcoming “Black Trigger Retrieval Arc.” Toei Animation is producing a new version of the series’ early story, beginning with the first chapter of Daisuke Ashihara’s manga.  

World Trigger Reboot Anime Will Revisit the Early Story

The World Trigger reboot anime will cover the story from the manga’s first chapter through the beginning of the B-Rank Wars. The project includes the Border enlistment storyline and the Large-Scale Invasion before reaching the start of the B-Rank Wars.  

Toei Animation, which produced the previous anime seasons, will return for the reboot. The studio describes the project as a newly produced and upgraded version of World Trigger Season 1.  

Black Trigger Retrieval Arc Reveals First Footage

The first footage from the “Black Trigger Retrieval Arc” reveals new character designs for Yuma Kuga and Osamu Mikumo. The story begins with Yuma and Osamu’s first meeting and continues through Yuma’s enlistment in Border.  

The main cast will also return. Tomo Muranaka voices Yuma, while Yuki Kaji plays Osamu. Nao Tamura returns as Chika Amatori, alongside Yuichi Nakamura as Yuichi Jin and Hideyuki Tanaka as Replica.  

Main Staff Return for the New Anime

Morio Hatano will serve as series director, with Hiroyuki Yoshino handling series composition and Toshihisa Kaiya designing the characters. Toei Animation is producing the new anime.  

The studio has not announced a broadcast date for the new anime. More details will be revealed at a later date.
