Kyle Richards said she asked for a role in the Little House on the Prairie reboot series — so could she make a cameo?
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly published on August 9, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 57, dished on the possibility of appearing on the Netflix remake of the historical drama series.
“I would love to make an appearance,” she told the publication. “Don’t think I didn’t ask them!”
In the original Little House on the Prairie, Richards played Alicia Sanderson, the adopted daughter of Mr. Edwards (Victor French) and his wife, Grace (Bonnie Bartlett). She appeared in 18 episodes from 1975 to 1982.
“They’re like, ‘Well, it starts before that you’re on the show,’” Richards explained. “I’m like, ‘Well, whatever. I can do a cameo and play someone else.’ So, yeah, I want to be on the new Little House on the Prairie!’”

Additionally, Richards shared her reaction to the LHOTP reboot after tuning into the series, which premiered on July 9.
“It’s very touching to me. It’s very nostalgic,” she said. “I was telling my daughters, I can’t help but walk down memory lane watching that and seeing the man who’s playing Mr. Edwards, who was my dad on the show, and everything.”
The reality star continued, “I can remember, as a little girl, and I was only 5 when I started that, what it felt like to put on that clothing — the little hook to put my shoes on for the buckles. It’s just really taking me back.”

In the reboot, Richards observed that “the dads in Little House on the Prairie are really hot,” referencing Warren Christie, who plays Mr. Edwards, and Luke Bracey, who plays Charles “Pa” Ingalls (originally portrayed by Michael Landon). She then acknowledged, “It’s a little weird that the guy playing my dad is really hot, but yeah, they’re good looking.”

Richards also admitted, “Michael Landon was hot! … Even as a little girl, I knew that man was good-looking.”
The original Little House on the Prairie series aired for nine seasons from 1974 to 1983. In addition to Landon and French, it starred Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle, Melissa Sue Anderson, Katherine MacGregor, Rachel Lindsay Greenbush, Sidney Robyn Greenbush, Kevin Hagen, Alison Arngrim, and Dean Butler, among others.
