One of the surprise streaming success stories of 2026, “Off Campus” is a romance series that embraces all the tropes of the genre, but with just enough added nuance and charm to stand above much of the pack. While Season 1 romantic leads Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli are at the center of the story, much of that charm comes from the supporting ensemble, with Antonio Cipriano being a particular standout as Briar University hockey player John Logan.

If Cipriano looks familiar to you, it’s possible you’ve seen him on screen somewhere before. His TV and streaming credits in the 2020s are substantial: He played Angelo in “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” Buck in “Harlan Coben’s Shelter,” and Johnny in “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.” He was also part of the main cast of the short-lived Disney+ series “National Treasure: Edge of History,” and he made a small appearance in the 2025 Robert De Niro mob film “The Alto Knights” as a young version of real-life crime boss Vito Genovese.

Cipriano’s success hasn’t been limited to the screen — he’s also known for originating the role of Phoenix in the Broadway jukebox musical “Jagged Little Pill,” a part he spent four years playing. He quit the show when some of its producers were accused of transphobia. “I have to acknowledge the harm that many trans + non-binary, and all marginalized folks, on-stage cast members and off have endured through the years,” he wrote in a statement. “Broadway should be a safe space for everyone to create and experience art.”

Will John Logan be a main character in Off Campus Season 2?

With “Off Campus” Season 2 on the way, Antonio Cipriano is set to reprise the role of John Logan. However, fans excited to see John step into the spotlight may have to wait a while. The show is based on a series of novels by Elle Kennedy, with Season 1 following the first book, 2015’s “The Deal.” There have been indications that “Off Campus” Season 2 will pull from the third book, 2016’s “The Score.” That story focuses more on Dean (Stephen Kalyn) and Allie (Mika Abdalla), whose relationship kickstarted in Season 1.

That being said, it’s reasonable to assume that John will also get some more romantic material in Season 2, even if he’s yet to become the true lead. The fact that the next season of the Prime Video romance drama is all that’s officially in store for Cipriano seems to indicate that his participation will be more than just a cameo. No matter what the future holds for John, it’s only a matter of time before Cipriano lands his next big role, whether that be in a new TV series or on the big screen. He’s definitely one to watch over the next few years.
