It’s been more than 16 years since Pretty Little Liars premiered, and several cast members got together at Comic Con Midlands to celebrate the show over the weekend. The stars in attendance documented the reunion on Instagram, but there were several familiar faces missing from the event
Lucy Hale, who played Aria Montgomery on the show, was the only one of the five PLLs in attendance. Shay Mitchell (Emily), Troian Bellisario (Spencer), Ashley Benson (Hanna), and Sasha Pieterse (Alison) were not part of the group that gathered in the U.K. Janel Parrish (Mona) was also noticeably absent
Hale was joined by Ian Harding (Ezra), Keegan Allen (Toby), Tyler Blackburn (Caleb), Brant Daugherty (Noel), Brendan Robinson (Lucas), Nia Peeples (Pam), Holly Marie Combs (Ella), and Lesley Fera (Veronica)

Other notable stars who didn’t attend the reunion included Bianca Lawson (Maya), Chad Lowe (Byron), Laura Leighton (Ashley), Lindsey Shaw (Paige), Torrey DeVitto (Melissa), and Cody Christian (Mike)
“I love them,” Hale captioned an Instagram dump from the weekend. “We loved meeting all of you & it will always blow my mind to have been a part of a show that means so much to people.”
Hale and Harding also posted a video together captioned, “Hale and Harding reporting for duty.” The stars played a fan-favorite couple on the show, although the pairing has since been deemed quite controversial, considering Ezra was Aria’s teacher when they first got together

Harding addressed the situation while speaking on a panel at Comic Con. “I’m like, ‘It’s an easy decision, do you enjoy jail time?’ And then he had the audacity to go to her family and be like, ‘This is love, guys,’” the actor said. “He would be dead in real America. If I were Chad’s character, Byron, I’d be like, ‘You’re a dead man. You’re not leaving the house. You’re going out in a body bag.’ So I think that’d probably be [the] number one [thing I’d change about Ezra.]”
