Prime Video‘s collection of old and new movies and TV shows is second to none, and it’s constantly growing and evolving. Add to that a solid mix of interesting, genre-spanning original content that ranges from anime to blockbuster comedies to live sports, and the platform proves it really does have something for everyone.
This month, you can catch the all-new horror series Carrie, based on Stephen King’s novel and reimagined by the great horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan. You can also catch Season 2 of The Terminal List — the Chris Pratt action thriller. And the platform will have a couple of big movie premieres, too, including Stanley Tucci in the heist thriller Masterplan, and the romantic drama Love of Your Life starring Margaret Qualley.
Here’s a look at what we’re most excited for on Prime Video in <a href="https://comicvibe.com/vampire-life-codes-october-2026/” title=”Vampire Life codes (October 2026)”>October.

Carrie (Season 1)
Horror auteur Mike Flanagan has previously adapted several of Stephen King’s works for the screen, including Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep (genuinely two of the more terrifying things I’ve ever watched). Now he’s turned King’s first novel, Carrie, into a limited series premiering on Prime Video just in time for spooky season. Summer H. Howell plays Carrie White, a teenage girl with a religious zealot for a mother (played by Samantha Sloyan, whose incredible role in Flanagan’s limited series Midnight Mass feels like it was an audition for her turn as Margaret White), who enters a new high school and is relentlessly bullied. When she discovers that she has telekinetic powers, Carrie uses them to get her revenge on everyone. The eight-episode series drops on Oct. 7.

Love of Your Life
Margaret Qualley stars in the new original movie Love of Your Life as Maya, a woman who gets swept off her feet when she meets Charlie (Gabriel Basso). But when their story is unexpectedly upended, Maya’s life completely shifts, and she’s forced to learn how to love again. Ryan Gosling produced the new film and Oscar-nominee Rachel Morrison directs. Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Catherine Keener co-star in the film, which drops on Prime Video on Oct. 14.

Helluva Boss (Season 3)
Season 3 of the adult animated comedy series Helluva Boss will also be arriving on Prime Video on Oct. 14. The show, a spinoff of Hazbin Hotel, is set in hell and follows the activities of the Immediate Murder Professionals, a group of assassins who take on contracts to kill targets in the human world. Three episodes of Helluva Boss premiere on Oct. 14, followed by two episodes weekly through Oct. 28.

Masterplan
Stanley Tucci is basically synonymous with Italy at this point in his career, thanks to his turn as host of several travel shows set there. In his latest film, Masterplan (which was shot in France and, yes, Italy), he plays a thief who assembles a team to try to help him steal the most famous work of art in the world, the Mona Lisa. Oh, and the team he picks, Chiara (Simona Tabasco), a cybercrime expert, and Jay (Victor Belmondo), an explosives expert, also happen to be his children.

The Terminal List (Season 2)
It’s been four years since the first season of The Terminal List, but Chris Pratt is back in the action-thriller series, which drops a full season of episodes on Oct. 21. Based on the novels by Jack Carr, The Terminal List is about Navy SEAL Commander James Reece (Pratt) who creates what he calls a “terminal list” of targets that he has to eliminate in order to piece together who murdered his family and how their deaths tie into Reece’s own medical condition and a more sprawling government conspiracy. The new season is based on Carr’s second novel, True Believer, which finds Reece finding a new purpose after finishing his original list, and it co-stars Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth and Gabriel Luna.

Last One Laughing: Halloween
Last One Laughing is a global hit series in which famous comedians challenge the show’s contestants not to laugh while they themselves try to keep a straight face. Seven comedians, Jack Dee, Daisy May Cooper, Phil Wang, Lou Sanders, Reece Shearsmith, Harriet Dyer and Tom Allen, will join hosts Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty for the new Halloween special, Last One Laughing: Halloween. The season will consist of four episodes, and there will also be a festive twist: The contestants must dare their opponents not to laugh or scream. Seems like we can expect a few jump scares this season. Episodes will begin streaming on Oct. 23.
