Welcome to your weekly look ahead at what’s coming to Netflix US over the next seven days! As we head into the middle of August, Netflix is serving up a wonderfully varied slate of new content. Whether you’re in the mood for horror, true crime, or a star-studded original comedy to close out the summer, Netflix has a bunch to look forward to.

Here is a breakdown of everything coming to Netflix between August 10th and August 16th, 2026, including a few expanded highlights you definitely won’t want to miss.

Best New Shows and Movies Coming to Netflix This Week

Conversations with a Killer: The Charles Manson Tapes (Limited Series)

Netflix’s acclaimed Conversations with a Killer docuseries franchise returns, this time turning its focus to one of the most notorious figures in American true crime history: Charles Manson. Featuring never-before-heard prison phone calls, fresh firsthand accounts, and chilling archival footage, this limited series offers a disturbing deep dive into the mind of the infamous cult leader. If you are a true-crime aficionado, this is your undeniable binge-watch for the week. You can read up on our full preview of the docuseries right here.

    Immaculate (2024)

Sydney Sweeney has been on an absolute tear lately, and her recent foray into psychological horror is making its SVOD debut this week. Sweeney stars as an American nun who travels to a remote, picturesque convent in the Italian countryside. When she discovers she is inexplicably pregnant, the supposed miracle quickly devolves into a terrifying nightmare as she uncovers the convent’s dark, sinister secrets. It’s tense, bloody, and features a truly unforgettable final act.

    Don’t Say Good Luck (2026)

Looking for a breezy, star-studded comedy to cap off your summer? Netflix’s latest original film brings together a powerhouse ensemble cast, including Melanie Lynskey, Max Greenfield, Stephanie Beatriz, and Sunny Sandler. This 93-minute romp promises plenty of laughs, a whole lot of heart, and fantastic chemistry among its leads. It’s the perfect lighthearted movie night pick to balance out the true crime and horror dropping earlier in the week!

    My Brilliant Career (Season 1)

If you are a fan of Bridgerton or Little Women, Netflix has delivered your next massive period drama obsession. Based on the seminal classic novel by Miles Franklin, this series is a colorful, modern reimagining set in the Australian outback during the early 1900s. Philippa Northeast stars as Sybylla Melvyn, a fiercely independent and bookish young woman who dreams of becoming a writer but is instead sent to her wealthy grandmother’s estate to be “civilized” and married off to save her family from financial ruin. Featuring a catchy soundtrack of classical covers of modern pop songs (including Blondie and Rod Stewart) and an engrossing love triangle, this romantic romp is an absolute must-watch.
