James Spader and Paul Bettany in ‘VisionQuest’. marvel

A packed week of streaming awaits us starting Monday. The question of what to watch this week is mainly answered by two of the autumn season’s major arrivals mid-week — Marvel’sVisionQuest on Disney+ and The Diplomat Season 4 on Netflix. This is of course, alongside ongoing series with new episodes every day.

This list also includes non-English language releases, because you know, entertainment doesn’t start or stop with just one language.

Here are your options for what to watch this week, every single day from Monday, October 12 through Sunday, October 18.

What To Watch On Monday, October 12

    1. Free Leonard Peltier (Netflix)

Jesse Short Bull and David France’s 2025 feature documentary follows the decades-long campaign to free American Indian Movement activist Leonard Peltier. Peltier spent nearly five decades in prison after a contested conviction for the murders of two FBI agents on the Pine Ridge Reservation in 1975. In January 2025, days before the film’s Sundance premiere, his sentence was commuted to house arrest, and the filmmakers updated the film to capture the moment.

    2. This Is Not a Murder Mystery (Acorn TV)

Set in 1930s England, Hans Herbot’s quirky period whodunit centers on real-life surrealist icons including young René Magritte and Salvador Dalí, who gather at an isolated English country estate, only to be picked off one by one by a mysterious killer. Dun dun dun (for the five people who subscribe to Acorn TV).
This came out in 2025, but it is on streaming now!

    3. Wayne, Season 1 (Netflix)

Wayne, the beloved, ultra-violent teen dark action-comedy that originally premiered on YouTube Premium (and was on Prime Video for a bit), is coming to Netflix to reach a broader audience. It follows a gritty 16-year-old riding a dirt bike to Florida with his girlfriend to retrieve his late dad’s stolen 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. The series creative team includes Deadpool and Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, so make of that information what you will.

    Between Steps (Disney+ / Hulu)

Starring Choo Young-woo (Park Min-jae), Kim So-hyun (Lim Yu-jin), and Kim Min-seok, this university romance drama centers on a doctoral robotics student and former competitive swimmer who lost his leg to illness, and a master’s student navigating career uncertainty who meet and build a bond inside a campus robotics lab.

The 12-episode series premiered October 5, with new episodes every Monday and Tuesday. It’s the final work of the late director Ahn Pan-seok (Something in the Rain).

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Season 18 Finale) (FX/Hulu/Disney Plus)

The longest-running live-action comedy series in American TV history wraps up its 18th season with a chaotic, boundary-pushing finale airing at 9 PM PT on FX and streaming next day on Hulu.

Fans and reviewers agree that the series hasn’t lost an ounce of its edge, praising Season 18 for continuing to find hilarious ways to satirize current cultural trends.

The entire show has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a rare distinction especially when considering how long it’s gone on.

What To Watch On Tuesday, October 13

The Trap / Die Falle (Netflix)

Created by Isabel Kleefeld (Dear Child), this gripping six-part German psychological thriller adapts Melanie Raabe’s bestseller. Reclusive author Lisa Konrad hasn’t left her house in ten years since her sister’s murder.

When she spots the murderer interviewing on live television, she writes a new novel based on the crime and lures the killer into her home under the guise of an exclusive interview.

Early European festival reviews compare its claustrophobic, cat-and-mouse tension to Misery and The Silence of the Lambs. All six episodes drop at once.

    TYSON (Netflix)

A punchy three-part biographical documentary series providing an unvarnished look into Mike Tyson’s life, from his youth in Brooklyn to becoming the youngest heavy-weight champion in history, his legal troubles, and his late-career reinvention. It also covers his incarceration, his financial struggles and addiction, and um, That 2024 return to the ring against Jake Paul.

    Ludwig, Season 2 (BritBox)

David Mitchell returns as puzzle-setter John “Ludwig” Taylor, now working as a crime scene consultant alongside DCI Russell Carter on “impossible” crimes in Cambridge, all while still searching for his missing twin brother, James.

The new season was the BBC’s biggest scripted launch of the year in the UK, drawing 9.1 million viewers for its premiere.

Episodes arrive weekly through the November 17 finale.

The Drop: A Snowfall Saga (FX / Hulu)

Set in the early 1990s following the events of Snowfall, this spin-off follows Leon (Isaiah John) and Wanda (Gail Bean) navigating the post-crack-epidemic transition in Los Angeles and the birth of West Coast hip-hop culture. Isaiah John is back, and you would recognize Asante Blackk from This Is Us!

Considering 21 million views on this trailer alone, it’s safe to say you should probably catch this premiere while it’s hot.

The series premiered September 8, and tonight brings episode six, so there’s still time to catch up.

Dancing with the Stars (Season 35) (Disney+)

The reality TV sensation airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming available on Hulu. The most recent pair to get the axe was Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong. They were the fifth duo to leave the show, and this week will be Super Bowl Night!

What To Watch On Wednesday, October 14

    Marvel’s VisionQuest (Disney+)

The final installment in the WandaVision trilogy! Paul Bettany’s White Vision sets out to reconnect with his memories and humanity. Along the way he deals with James Spader’s returning Ultron and goes on the run with Thomas Shepherd (Ruaridh Mollica), a mysterious boy who may or may not be his reincarnated son.

It’s not out yet, so check back in! Anticipation is definitely high though, for many reasons.

Love Is Blind (Season 11 — Boston) (Netflix)

The reality TV juggernaut touches down in Boston for Season 11. Singles date in blind pods, fall in love, get engaged, and navigate real-world dynamics leading up to the altar. You know the drill.

The franchise remains a social media sensation and staple on Netflix’s Global Top 10 lists. If you’re looking for critical acclaim though, this might not be the show for you.

Love of Your Life (Prime Video)

Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Rachel Morrison (Black Panther) makes her feature directorial debut with this bittersweet romantic drama starring Margaret Qualley and Gabriel Basso as two ex-lovers who cross paths during a chaotic weekend wedding in Vermont.

If you’d rather watch this on a bigger screen, Love of Your Life is coming to select theaters a week before it comes out on Prime Video.

Helluva Boss (Season 3) (Prime Video/YouTube)

Vivienne Medrano’s wildly popular indie animated musical dark comedy kicks off the first part of its third season with a three-episode drop. The series continues the chaotic misadventures of Blitzø (voiced by Brandon Rogers), Moxxie (Richard Steven Horvitz), Millie (Vi, and Loona (Erica Lindbeck) as they run their demon assassin business in Hell

    The Lowdown (Season 2) (FX/Hulu)

Sterlin Harjo’s (Reservation Dogs) critically acclaimed British dramedy returns, following a group of underpaid local journalists (led by Ethan Hawke, no less!) in a small coastal town who accidentally stumble onto high-level political corruption. This season, his reporting wins him a local citizen journalist award, and a disastrous acceptance speech pulls him into a missing-prisoner case with a public defender. Tommy Lee Jones joins as Lee’s estranged grifter father, and Betty Gilpin plays the public defender.

    New episodes arrive weekly.

    Merry Berry Love (Disney+/Hulu)

This is Disney+’s first Korean-Japanese co-production, a cross-border romantic comedy starring Ji Chang-wook (Welcome to Samdal-ri) and Mio Imada (Tokyo Revengers). It follows a Seoul spatial designer whose career has crashed and burned. He heads to a remote Japanese island, where he meets strawberry farmer Karin Shirahama. The series premiered on Disney+ on October 7 and airs Wednesdays on Nippon TV in Japan.

    Cocaine Bear (Netflix)

Elizabeth Banks’ wild 2023 dark comedy horror film, loosely inspired by the real story of an American black bear that ingested a duffel bag full of cocaine (you heard me) hits Netflix’s streaming catalog.

What To Watch On Thursday, October 15

    The Diplomat (Season 4) (Netflix)

Keri Russell returns as US Ambassador Kate Wyler alongside Rufus Sewell (Hal Wyler) and Allison Janney (Vice President Grace Penn) for an explosive eight-episode fourth season. Following the massive fallout of Season 3, Kate must navigate a dangerous conspiracy involving a Russian weapon that threatens to break the US-UK alliance completely. All eight episodes will drop together, I hear.

    Crystal Lake (Peacock)

Produced by A24, this very anticipated Friday the 13th prequel series stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees. The atmospheric horror series explores the dark origins of Camp Crystal Lake and the tragic events surrounding her young son, Jason, long before the events of the original 1980 film.

    The Storm/Stormvarsling (Netflix)

The Storm is a dark Swedish comedy film about a family trapped together in an isolated cabin during a blizzard. According to the Netflix synopsis, the storm means “their polished acts fall, and an unfiltered meltdown starts. When the panic starts to creep in and they all realise the seriousness of the situation, the farm starts to shrink, secrets spill out, and unexpected feelings take shape.”

    Hollywood Arts (Season 1)

For fans of the nostalgia train, boy do I have another one for you. Hollywood Arts is a sequel series to Nickelodeon’s Victorious, this time with Tori’s sister Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) coming to teach aspiring performing arts students.

Considering sequel series’ general love for callbacks, I predict at least one “I think we all sing” coming up.

What To Watch On Friday, October 16

    KATSEYE: Wild Hearts (Disney+/Hulu)

A music docuseries following the viral girl group KATSEYE as they go on their first international headlining tour (minus their sixth member).

The Death of Robin Hood (Max)

Hugh Jackman stars as a battle-worn, aging Robin Hood in this dark reimagining helmed by A Quiet Place: Day One director Michael Sarnoski. The film follows the medieval legend as he grapples with a lifetime of violence while offered a shot at true redemption by a mysterious woman, played by Jodie Comer.

    Tulsa King, Season 4 (Paramount+)

Sylvester Stallone returns as New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi as he expands his criminal empire in Oklahoma while facing new rival syndicates and federal investigations.

    Sacrifice (Netflix)

Romain Gavras (Athena) directs this action-thriller starring Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy. A high-stakes gala is taken hostage by a radical environmental cult, forcing a movie star in an existential crisis to survive the night with his bodyguard.

The film is known for Gavras’ signature kinetic, continuous long-take cinematography and high-octane set pieces.

Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald (Netflix)

A heartwarming retrospective documentary exploring the life, career, and stand-up genius of the late Norm Macdonald, featuring archive footage and tributes from Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, and Adam Sandler.

The world will remember him for many things, but the Norm role closest to my heart will be his gig on The Middle, forever an underrated show.

    Masterplan (Prime Video)

Stanley Tucci leads a slick heist thriller following a team of retired intelligence experts who pull off one final high-tech vault break-in to retrieve a stolen cultural artifact. I haven’t watched this, but I really think I need Stanley Tucci in a heist thriller in a very personal way.

Money Trap: The Karun Treasure (Netflix)

Another non-English find for you. Yılmaz Erdoğan’s Money Trap is a fast-paced Turkish caper series; eight episodes of comedy crime following con artist Asim Noyan and his crew on one last treasure hunt.

    Tenzing (Apple TV+)

Tom Hiddleston, Genden Phuntsok and Willem Dafoe star in this biographical drama telling the epic true story of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary’s historic first summit of Mount Everest in 1953.

What To Watch On Saturday, October 17

    Super Scam Me (Disney+/Hulu)

National Geographic’s true-crime documentary special investigating high-tech digital financial scams, romantic catfishing rings, and how white-collar investigators track down global cyber-criminals.

    100 Days of Deception (Netflix)

New episodes arrive this weekend of this tense colonial-era spy thriller starring Kim Yoo-jung and GOT7’s Park Jin-young.

Set in 1932 Gyeongseong (present-day Seoul) under Japanese rule, it follows the city’s top pickpocket. She goes undercover inside the Japanese Government-General for the independence movement and becomes entangled with an elite interpreter. The 16-episode series premiered October 10, with new episodes every Saturday and Sunday.

What To Watch On Sunday, October 18

    Companion (Hulu)

2025’s Companion is an eerie AI sci-fi thriller starring Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid. The film was produced by Zach Cregger (of Weapons fame!)

    PBS Masterpiece Sunday Lineup

Adding to all this for Sunday is PBS with two returning British dramas tonight. First, at 9 p.m. ET, Maigret returns for its second season, a contemporary take on Georges Simenon’s Parisian detective, with Benjamin Wainwright in the lead. Then, at 10 p.m. ET, The Gold returns for its second and final season, which picks up after the 1983 Brink’s-Mat robbery as police realize they’ve only been chasing half the gold.

And there you have it, a veritable spread of what to watch this week. See you next week, and don’t hesitate to comment below what you thought of these!
