Bollywood superstar Salman Khan paid a goodwill visit to the office of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), Mumbai, on Friday night. On the occasion, Salman Khan inaugurated the SRA’s modern Data Collection and Verification Support Centre (IT Server Room). The actor also distributed house keys to beneficiaries, who were seen smiling from ear to ear. After the event, Salman was seen having a fun banter with reporters as he asked them not to ask about Maatrubhumi.
Salman Khan avoids question on Maatrubhumi
As Salman Khan geared up to interact with reporters after the social event, he broke the ice with his trademark wit. Smiling at the media, the superstar quipped, “Ask me anything, not that one question. There is no point in asking about that.” He was clearly avoiding questions about Maatrubhumi, as the film recently grabbed headlines over CBFC issues and its delayed release.
Salman Khan’s visit highlighted the Maharashtra Government’s commitment to strengthening the slum rehabilitation mission through modern, transparent, and people-centric governance.
During his visit, Salman was also briefed on the SRA’s various initiatives and expressed satisfaction with the organization’s work. In the presence of SRA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mahendra Kalyankar, Salman Khan also handed over the keys to permanent homes to more than 50 slum rehabilitation beneficiaries.
Talking about Salman Khan, he has long been associated with philanthropic initiatives, supporting causes related to healthcare, education, child welfare, and assistance for the underprivileged.
Salman Khan’s upcoming movies
Over the past few months, there have been multiple reports suggesting that the film has undergone changes and reshoots. It was reported that Maatrubhumi faced issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to reports, the CBFC has withheld the film’s clearance certificate until further notice. Salman Khan’s production house, SKF, has dismissed the reports.
In a statement, the production house wrote, “We request that media outlets and individuals refrain from circulating unverified information. Any official updates regarding the film will be shared by Salman Khan Films through its official channels only.”
Apart from this, Salman has collaborated with Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju for an actioner. The film will also star Nayanthara in the lead role and is slated for an Eid 2027 release.
