It’s almost here… Lucasfilm and Production I.G’s 8-episode limited anime series, part of the new ‘Star Wars: Visions Presents’ banner for long-form stories, premieres August 5 exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu.
Disney+ has released the final trailer for Lucasfilm and Production I.G’s eight-episode limited anime series Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi, which premieres Wednesday, August 5 exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu.
Part of the new Star Wars: Visions Presents banner for longer-form Star Wars: Visions stories, the limited series picks up not long after the events of the Visions shorts The Ninth Jedi and The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope. In the new series, Lah Kara continues training in the ways of the Jedi under Margrave Juro, then goes on an epic journey of self-discovery as she and Juro’s small fellowship of Jedi-in-training embark on a quest to rescue her father from a new warlord.
Star Wars: Visions Presents –The Ninth Jedi is directed by Shunsuke Tada and Kenji Kamiyama serves as supervising director. The executive producers are James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Justin Leach, and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa; the producers are Hitoshi Ito and Kanako Shirasaki; and the co-producer is Caroline Keller
The English dub voice cast includes returning actors Kimiko Glenn as Lah Kara, Andrew Kishino as Juro, Masi Oka as Ethan, Patrick Seitz as Homen, JP Karliak as Gramps, and Simu Liu as Lah Zhima. Neil Kaplan returns as The Narrator. New English-language voice talent includes Feodor Chin as Gennoh, Young Mazino as Nawaam, Chase Sui Wonders as Tafflah, and Keone Young as Kwana.
The returning original-language voice cast includes Chinatsu Akasaki as Lah Kara, Tetsuo Kanao as Juro, Hiromu Mineta as Ethan, Hinata Tadokoro as Homen, Cho as Gramps, and Shinichiro Miki as Lah Zhima. Akio Otsuka returns as The Narrator.
