UAE Pokémon fans celebrate franchise with special event in Dubai

DUBAI: Comicave, one of the world’s largest pop culture superstores specializing in the retail and distribution of high-end collectibles, comics, toys, and entertainment merchandise, partnered with BST Community to host a special <a href="https://comicvibe.com/3-underrated-apple-tv-shows-you-should-watch-this-weekend-july-24/” title=”3 underrated Apple TV shows you should watch this weekend (July 24″>weekend celebration for Pokémon fans across the UAE on July 18 and 19 at Dubai Outlet Mall.
The two-day event brought together collectors, comic enthusiasts, cosplayers, artists, and families for a vibrant showcase of Pokémon fandom through various activities, such as a Pokémon Go! 10th anniversary-themed celebration, Pokémon Go! PVP tournament, Pokémon marketplace, Pokémon artist alley, Pokémon TCG tournament, Pokémon-inspired band performance, and kids’ cosplay competition.
“We made the PokeWorld Party last weekend, which served as the main attraction of Pokémon fans in the UAE,” said Ian Eleria from Comicave’s management team in a statement to Arab News Japan. “We organized various activities for everyone who is a fan of the Pokémon franchise to enjoy during the weekend.”
Reflecting on audience response, Eleria noted that feedback from attendees had been overwhelmingly positive throughout the two-day event.
“The response to PokeWorld Party was overwhelmingly positive. Family-friendly activations such as the Kids Cosplay Competition not only strengthened Comicave’s position as a leading name in the pop culture space but also reinforced our vision of becoming a welcoming community hub where fans of all ages—including families—can express their creativity.”
“It was incredible to see fans from every corner of the Pokémon community come together under one roof. Whether they were trading card collectors, Pokémon GO players, gamers, cosplayers, artists, or anime enthusiasts, everyone shared the same excitement and passion for the franchise. Seeing these different communities connect and celebrate together is exactly what PokeWorld Party was created to achieve,” he added.
Looking ahead, Eleria revealed that Comicave plans to remain actively involved in upcoming pop culture events and conventions across the region in the coming months.
“We are excited to keep the momentum going with our upcoming Cave Sketchouts x Art Bazaar on Aug. 1, alongside a series of surprise Marvel-themed activations that fans can look forward to,” he said.
“Beyond that, our team is already hard at work preparing for some of the region’s biggest pop culture events, including MEFCC, as well as our annual Batman Day celebration at Dubai Outlet Mall. We have plenty of exciting experiences planned, and we can’t wait to share more details in the coming months,” he added.
