Tyler Perry's Latest Show Is Dominating on Streaming With New Season
    • Tyler Perry’s show “Beauty in Black” is currently ranked No. 3 on Netflix‘s Top 10 TV Shows in the United States and has been on the chart for 84 consecutive days.
    • Season 3 of “Beauty in Black” introduces significant power shifts within the Bellarie family, leading to a deadly family feud and an uneasy alliance between characters Kimmie and Mallory.
    • Netflix has already renewed “Beauty in Black” for Season 4, with creator Tyler Perry expressing excitement to continue exploring the Bellarie family’s story.

Tyler Perry’s latest Netflix hit just locked down its future before fans even finished the new season. The creator revealed why the Bellarie family’s story is far from over and what’s driving the show’s massive streaming success.

Beauty in Black is a hit on Netflix with Season 3 release

Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black continues its strong run on Netflix. The show currently sits at No. 3 on Netflix‘s Top 10 TV Shows in the United States, according to FlixPatrol data from September 1, 2026. The series has maintained its presence on the chart for 84 consecutive days.

Season 3 brings significant shifts in power within the Bellarie family. Kimmie, played by Taylor Polidore Williams, now holds a seat at the Bellarie table. However, a deadly family feud forces her into an uneasy alliance with Mallory, played by Crystle Stewart.

The two characters navigate blackmail, revenge, and buried secrets together. Meanwhile, the family wages war against one of its own members. This conflict threatens to bring the entire Bellarie empire crashing down.

Netflix also announced a Season 4 renewal ahead of Season 3’s debut. Creator Tyler Perry expressed his enthusiasm about the early pickup. “Beauty in Black is back for Season 4, and the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished,” Perry said. He added, “There was so much more I wanted to explore, and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story.”

Perry also thanked the show’s loyal audience directly. “To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world,” he said.

Season 3 features returning cast members alongside Williams and Stewart. Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, and Julian Horton all reprise their roles. Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, Terrell Carter, Bryan Tanaka, Charles Malik Whitfield, and Debbi Morgan round out the ensemble cast. Additional details about Season 4 will follow at a later date.
