Okla. — Tulsa Comic Con got into the Halloween spirit on Saturday with a special themed convention in downtown Tulsa
Saturday’s event was held at the Gateway Tulsa Event Center. Fans gathered to celebrate all things spooky and superheroes.
The annual event featured more than 50 pop culture vendors, along with arcade games, food trucks, prizes, and free giveaways.
“I reallystarted thisso we could get the love of comic books out” said Nicholas Goltra, owner and event producer. “…The community out here is wonderful. We have good comic book vendors. We’re all part of the local community. We just hang out with each other and swap comics and just try to get everybody — all the kids — to have comic books in their hands and just try to spread the joy of comic books.”
If you missed Saturday’s event, organizers said you can catch Tulsa Nostalgia Con in June. It will also be held at the Gateway Tulsa Event Center.
