Trolley and coaster service ramped up for busy Comic-Con weekend

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Local leaders are encouraging people to use public transportation like the trolley and the Coaster to travel to and from Comic-Con this weekend.

Park and Ride lots will also be free for drivers to use.

Trolley rides are $5 for adults and $2.50 for senior citizens.

There are also discounted Comic-Con bundle tickets available if you expect to use the trolley throughout the weekend.

Local leaders encourage Comic-Con fans to download the Pronto app to help make traveling easier and more efficient.

San Diego Police are also increasing safety measures by manning the streets and encouraging people to remain vigilant.

“There will be an abundance of re be aware of their surroundings and, if they see anything, let officers know so we can investigate it.”
