Tom Welling accidentally bared all on social media.
Hours before appearing at New York Comic Con, the Smallville actor, 49, shared a since-deleted photo of the view from his hotel room to his Instagram Stories, according to screenshots obtained by TV Insider, Hello! and Page Six.
As his followers took a closer look, however, they realized that Welling was showing a lot more than the New York City skyline. He accidentally exposed himself in the reflection in the window while wearing no clothes.
“Hello NYCC,” he wrote over the snap.
PEOPLE reached out to Welling’s reps, who had no comment about the mishap.
While he deleted the photo hours later, Welling has since reposted his former costar Michael Rosenbaum’s reaction to the mishap on Sunday, Oct. 11.
“Just looking after my boy,” Rosenbaum, 54, quipped alongside an Instagram Stories photo of himself taking a photo of his reflection in a hotel window while holding a sign that reads “Perverts” in front of his crotch.

Beyond the accidental post, Welling revealed during a The Road to Superman: 25 Years of Smallville panel with his costars — including Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk and Erica Durance — that John Glover once gifted him a fan-made NSFW photo of himself.

“John came into my makeup trailer one time with a big smile on his face,” Welling recalled, as seen in a video shared by <a href="https://comicvibe.com/111-blog-posts-to-learn-about-entertainment/” title=”111 Blog Posts To Learn About Entertainment”>Entertainment Weekly.
He continued, “And he goes, ‘I’m so happy to see you.’ I was like, ‘Why?’ He’s like, ‘I have a picture I’d like you to sign.’ And it was a picture from the internet that somebody had made of me completely naked.”

“He thought it was so cute,” Welling added. “He’s like, ‘Is this really you?’ I’m like, ‘Yep.’ And I signed it for him.”
After all, Welling admitted to PEOPLE earlier this year that he thought he landed the role of Clark Kent because he “looked the part.”
“I think the producers probably thought, ‘He’s green, but he looks right. We can work with this!’ “ he said in January. “I never went to college, but I did my master’s degree in television on Smallville.”
“Plus, the character didn’t know what he was doing, and I didn’t know what I was doing, so it worked,” he added. “I think it’s amazing that something we made all those years ago still means so much to people.”
