    Cosplayers from ThunderCon 2025

TIFTON, Ga. — ThunderCon at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will return Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Gressette Gymnasium. The event brings fans of comics, anime, video games, science fiction and pop culture together for a day of panels, vendors, cosplay and special guests.

Now in its fourth year, ThunderCon has experienced significant growth since its launch in 2023. The event has expanded to include a cosplay contest, a VTuber Meet & Greet, an Itasha car show and, this year, a VIP wrestling show and The Fallout Xperience.

The event also will feature a VIP wrestling show presented by Tifton’s Kraken Pro-Wrestling that evening. General admission and VIP tickets are available at link.abac.edu/thundercon2026.

ABAC students receive free general admission to ThunderCon as well as free admission to the VIP wrestling show. Special guests for ThunderCon 2026 include voice actors Chris Tergliafera, Patrick Pedraza and Shawn Gann.

Tergliafera is known for roles including Capitano in “Genshin Impact,” Gundham Tanaka and Ryoma Hoshi in “Danganronpa 2 & 3” and Muhammad Avdol in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.”

Pedraza has voiced characters including Scaramouche in “Genshin Impact,” Good Luck Bear in the 2018 “Care Bears” series, Yun in Crunchyroll’s “Onyx Equinox,” Sandy and Gus in “Brawl Stars” and Carlos Kitbash in “Rescue Heroes.”

Gann is a voice actor and casting director whose credits include “My Hero Academia,” “Dragon Ball Super,” “Attack on Titan,” “One Piece,” “Fruits Basket,” “Ranking of Kings,” “Radiant,” “Ensemble Stars” and “Wind Breaker.” As a director, his credits include “Buddy Daddies,” “Horimiya,” “Fruits Basket,” “Laid-Back Camp,” “The Apothecary Diaries,” “Kaiju No. 8,” “Hell’s Paradise,” “Sentenced to Be a Hero,” “Takopi’s Original Sin,” “Daemons of the Shadow Realm” and “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.”

Other special guests include Power Rangers suit actor Romy Sharf, who portrayed Alpha 5 in seasons one and two of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” and actor Ann Marie Crouch, who played Princess Shayla in “Power Rangers Wild Force.”

ThunderCon also will feature cosplay guests Golden Spirit Cosplay, Hallow.Eve.Cosplay and Raenisa Elavaris Cosplay; literary guest Chris Garrett; and a VTuber Meet & Greet with Ghosted Vixen, Agari_Uchu and Rainboba.

A featured addition this year is The Fallout Xperience, a traveling immersive cosplay exhibit created by cosplayers and prop makers who celebrate the “Fallout” franchise. The exhibit will feature handmade props, backdrops depicting iconic locations from the games, and a life-sized Deathclaw statue. Visitors also may see members of the group dressed as Vault Dwellers and Wastelanders. The group accepts donations for entry to the exhibit and directs those donations to charities and causes.

The cosplay contest will return for its third year. Participants can register at link.abac.edu/cosplay.

“All levels of cosplay are welcome at ThunderCon,” said Shawn Burnette, coordinator of Student Activities at ABAC. “Cosplayers of any experience are welcome to participate in the contest. We have seen some amazing entries over the years, including an intimidating Big Sister from the BioShock franchise, a decked-out Deku from My Hero Academia and a realistic Chewbacca from Star Wars. If you are interested in competing, make sure to preregister using our link because spots are limited, and entries fill up fast!”

ThunderCon offers ABAC students and the Tifton community a unique opportunity to experience an event that celebrates interests and passions beyond ABAC’s traditional campus activities.

“ABAC is known for amazing campus events, from our rodeos and truck and tractor pulls to our career fair,” said Alan Kramer, assistant vice president for Student Affairs and dean of students. “ThunderCon is a venue for students who may not be interested in traditional agriculture-based events and allows them to express themselves in their other interests.”

Kramer said the event creates opportunities for students to connect with fellow fans, community members, alumni and entertainment professionals.

ThunderCon’s community connections are strengthened through support from local partners, including Gray Ghost Comics and Kraken Pro-Wrestling.

Tickets for ThunderCon are available at link.abac.edu/thundercon2026. For event updates, visit ThunderCon’s Facebook or Instagram.
