Three members of the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5 are coming to Fortnite this week
The Phantom Thieves of Hearts are crossing over into Fortnite this 25 September.
Fortnite’s Season Override continues to add more crossovers, with members of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts from Persona 5 arriving this Friday, 25 September. Epic Games unveiled the release date alongside a teaser showcasing the silhouettes of who many believe to be Joker (Ren Amamiya), Ann Takamaki, and Morgana.
What is in the Fortnite x Persona 5 crossover?
As usual, Fortnite is keeping the complete details of its upcoming Persona 5 collaboration under wraps and will likely unveil everything in full a day before it launches.
Leaks have surfaced online and have so far aligned with what was revealed in the trailer. We are expected to get a Joker skin, potentially alongside a Phantom Thieves outfit and a Dancing in the Starlight style. The same appears to be true for Ann Takamaki, who will likely receive a Panther Outfit with a Dancing in the Starlight style. Leaks further suggest that the collaboration will include a Morgana Sidekick and a Morgana Bus vehicle.
The three characters are crucial to Persona 5’s story and are among the Phantom Thieves, a group of teenage supernatural vigilantes who reform corrupted people through a realm known as the metaverse.
Ren Amamiya is the protagonist, who goes by the Phantom Thieves’ codename Joker. Ann Takamaki is one of his earliest companions in the group and goes by Panther. The Phantom Thieves eventually meet Morgana, a cat-like creature in the Metaverse who guides them through the mysterious realm.
While many Persona fans were hoping to see the entire Phantom Thieves of Hearts introduced to Fortnite’s universe, the game could always introduce more characters and skins in future updates.
For now, expect Joker, Ann Takamaki, and Morgana to be the first characters to hit Fortnite’s Item Shop this Friday, 25 September.
Fortnite has also unveiled plenty of crossovers from across the gaming world, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Kingdom Hearts, and Roblox’s 99 Nights in the Forest, all as part of its Override season.
