The Little Things, the UAE-born collectibles and pop-culture retailer, is bringing anime figurines, blind boxes and trading cards to Threads and Scribble Street stores across the UAE through a new shop-in-shop partnership.

The deal puts a curated slice of The Little Things’ range — licensed pop-culture merchandise included — inside stores better known for school uniforms, stationery and arts and crafts. It is the retailer’s first move beyond standalone mall stores and pop-ups into an everyday retail format: collectibles in front of families during trips they are already making, rather than a trip of their own.

The agreement was signed at the Threads store in Times Square Center, Dubai, by Hassan Tamimi, Chief Executive Officer of The Little Things, and Latesh Radhakishen, Managing Director of Threads & Scribble Street.

“Every store and every pop-up we’ve opened has taught us the same thing: collectors don’t want to work to find us, they want to bump into us… Threads & Scribble takes that idea and makes it permanent: it puts The Little Things into the everyday routine of families across the UAE, not just the destinations they plan a trip around.”

Collectors find the brand on a school run rather than on a planned trip to a mall.

“Partnering with The Little Things enables us to introduce an exciting new product category that complements our existing range of school uniforms, stationery, arts and crafts and school essentials, creating even greater choice and convenience for our customers.”

For Threads and Scribble Street, the deal adds a category that needs no new logistics: the customers are already in the store.

Where to find The Little Things in the UAE

The shop-in-shop covers “selected” Threads and Scribble Street outlets, though the retailers have not named them yet. The Little Things’ own stores are unaffected.

The brand now runs nine stores across four countries: Dubai Mall, Bluewaters Island, Dubai Hills Mall, DIFC’s Gate Avenue and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, plus Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Tashkent, alongside a UAE-wide e-commerce platform at littlethingsme.com.

In February it opened a pop-up at DIFC’s Gate Avenue with Mattel, spotlighting Barbie and Hot Wheels for a cross-generational “kidult” crowd, and followed with a Hello Kitty “Fluff Tea Party” at BurJuman with MiniLike, including Dubai-only Sanrio releases.

The launch lands in the back-to-school season, when uniforms and stationery are the family shopping list — the same window tbreak’s UAE back-to-school tech deals guide covers.

The UAE’s retail scene keeps adding arrivals; Primark’s first UAE stores opened in Dubai Mall as part of a major expansion.

    What is The Little Things?

The Little Things is a UAE-born collectibles and pop-culture retailer selling anime figurines, blind boxes, trading cards and licensed merchandise. It operates nine stores across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Uzbekistan, plus an online shop.

    What is a shop-in-shop partnership?

A shop-in-shop is a branded section run by one retailer inside another retailer’s existing store. The Little Things will run its collectibles range inside selected Threads and Scribble Street stores rather than opening new standalone outlets.

Does The Little Things deliver across the UAE?

Yes. The Little Things’ online shop at littlethingsme.com ships across the UAE, with free delivery on orders over AED 100.
