This week, a lot of stuff happened in comic books. Oroku Saki has a new disciple at the end of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder No. 6, Ash started a revolution in Ghost Pepper No. 9, and Absolute Wonder Woman No. 8 ends with her having to fight one of the greatest magicians ever (Absolute Giovanni Zatara).
But that’s only some of the things you should. Here are some notable comic book moments you need to know, but in brief.
Kang revealed

Theidentity of Ultimate Kang was finally revealed. And, not to pat myself on the back too hard, but I called it. This universe’s Kang is an unaged Tony Stark (aka, Iron Lad). Sadly, his reveal was short-lived as Doom (Reed Richards) killed him so The Maker (the other Reed Richards) couldn’t get his time machine.
Gift and a curse

Tariq Geiger finally had a moment of happiness while reading to some kids. It was one of the few times this happened, and it was taken away from him at the end of the issue. Because he’s transported to the past and sees his wife and kids. This may seem like a good thing, but how will he react when he’s forced to return to the apocalyptic future?
This is probably someone trying to manipulate Tariq into stopping the Northerner from changing his past. As much as Tariq will want to stay with his family, I doubt he’d risk an entire world for them. But I’ve been wrong before.
The Justice League?

After the Heart of Apocalypse Tournament ends (DC K.O. No. 5), some of the villains revealed that they felt insulted for not being allowed to help. Two of them stated that they should have been able to fight for their loved ones and deserve redemption. After some consideration, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Shazam agreed. This leads to some villains becoming members of the Justice League. Among them are Giganta, Lobo, Tiger Shark, Harley Quinn, and Lex Luthor. The latter had a devilish smile as he was given his membership card.
Superboy-Prime’s first nemesis

Superboy-Prime is officially the protector of Metropolis while Superman is away, and not everyone is happy about it. Among the worried people is Mr. Terrific, who thinks that Superboy-Prime knowing superhero secrets could become a problem. That concern is justified when Manchester Black (who died inAction Comics No. 1050) appears, and it looks like Superboy-Prime is his next target.
If Manchester Black still has his telepathic abilities in death, it may not be difficult for him to get the information he needs. Plus, apparently, he can break the fourth wall, too.
What’s a king to a god?

When people think of the biggest of the bad in Marvel Comics, Thanos is one of the people that come to mind. He’s beaten Black Bolt, Wolverine, and Thor on separate occasions. There’s even a universe where he’s tamed the Hulk like a dog. However, he fought Knull and made the mistake of underestimating him. This resulted in the Mad Titan bleeding out on a planet after the former King in Black hit him with something that resembled a Mortal Kombat fatality.
Harley Quinn No. 60

Like many people who competed in the DC K.O.tournament, Harley Quinn left changed, but she may have had the most drastic one. She returned to Earth with her personality being split into two separate people. On one side, there’s the new, gritty, and “serious” Batquinn. On the other side, there’s Harleen Quinzel, who’s a psychiatrist. How this will help or hurt her as a member of the Justice League remains to be seen.
