That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 will continue with its third cour in July 2027, while the franchise is also getting a separate TV anime based on the Clayman REVENGE spin-off manga.
The Clayman REVENGE anime is scheduled to begin in April 2027. The spin-off is based on the manga and focuses on Demon Lord Clayman. The announcement also includes comments from both creators about seeing the spin-off move to television
Fuse explained that Clayman REVENGE originally started as a simple idea. One of the concepts behind the manga was to show Clayman trying to maintain his serious image while awkward situations, such as spilling wine on his white suit, expose a less composed side of the character. Kajika also said that being able to draw a That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime spin-off already felt unlikely to him, making the anime adaptation particularly meaningful.
The main That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime story follows Rimuru Tempest, a man who dies and is reborn in another world as a slime. He gradually builds a nation populated by monsters while becoming involved in conflicts between humans, monsters and powerful Demon Lords. The original light novels are while Taiki Kawakami handles the main manga adaptation
Eight Bit produces the television anime. The first season aired in 2018 with 24 episodes, and the franchise has since received multiple TV seasons, spin-offs and theatrical films.
