Talentless Nanais now available to stream in India on Crunchyroll, with Japanese audio and English subtitles. The psychological thriller takes place at an isolated school where teenagers with supernatural abilities are being trained to fight mysterious monsters, but the arrival of a new student brings a much darker secret into the classroom.
In the world ofTalentless Nana, children known as the Talented possess abilities that could help humanity fight its enemies. They are sent to a school on a deserted island, where they receive everything they need while preparing for the battle ahead. Contact with the outside world is prohibited, leaving the students largely separated from the society they are meant to protect.
Nana Hiiragi arrives as a cheerful new student who quickly befriends her classmates. However, her apparent role at the school hides a dangerous mission. Unlike the other students, Nana has no supernatural ability of her own. Her intelligence, powers of observation, and skill at manipulating social situations become essential as she attempts to carry out her assignment without raising suspicion.
The series uses this setup to build a story around deception and strategy rather than relying entirely on supernatural fights. As Nana interacts with students who possess unusual powers, she has to understand their abilities and find ways to outsmart them.
With its combination of an isolated school setting, superpowered students, and a protagonist concealing her real intentions,Talentless Nanaapproaches the supernatural school anime from the perspective of a psychological thriller.
