July 30 (UPI) — Netflix and AMC have signed a new multi-year deal to share the streaming rights to the original The Walking Dead series and its six spin-offs.
Just announced by Netflix, AMC, and the trades today is a massive new multi-year agreement: Netflix and AMC Global Media are expanding their partnership to bring the original The Walking Dead series—along with all six of its spin-offs—to Netflix in multiple territories around the world.
“The Walking Dead: Dead City” Season 3 premieres on Sunday, July 26. In the new season, Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) put differences aside to build the first community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, according to an AMC Global Media news release.
