The nephew of late music star Dolly Parton who served as her longtime head of security confirms he was fired after her death, and said a restraining order has been requested against him by the corporation that runs Parton’s entertainment empire.

Dolly Parton’s nephew allegedly threatened to “destroy” her legacy and made repeated violent threats towards his aunt’s employees, a new lawsuit has claimed.

Bryan Seaver—who spoke for the family as they shared the music icon’s Aug. 25 death—said that his longtime position running security for his aunt’s properties was unexpectedly eliminated after TMZ obtained his company’s termination notice Sept. 21.  

Dolly Parton’s manager is taking legal action against her nephew on behalf of her estate.

Country music icon and actress Dolly Parton died at age 80 following a short battle with cancer on August 25, and on October 21, the Country Music Association will present a live, two-hour special honoring the singer, entrepreneur and philanthropist with performances, archival footage and shared personal stories.
