Several television series and upcoming projects have been canceled during August 2026, affecting platforms includingDisney+, Hulu, Prime Video, and HBO Max. The lineup includes shows that ended after multiple seasons as well as projects dropped before reaching the screen. Disney+’s planned live-action “Gargoyles” series is among the latest projects that will no longer move forward.

Another live-actionDisney+project has been canceled, adding to the growing list of shows scrapped by the streaming platform. The planned Gargoyles adaptation is officially no longer moving forward, with series creator Greg Weisman confirming that the live-action project has been abandoned.
