Friday night at New York Comic Con was all about Blumhouse, with a 90 minute “Blumfest” panel that was devoted to a ton of upcoming films from the combined forces of Jason Blum’s Blumhouse and James Wan’s Atomic Monster.

IDW came to NYCC 2026 day 2 prepared with plenty of previews and con exclusives. The panel featured creators Patrick Horvath, Matthew Rosenberg, and Stan Sakai. Discussions on the panel focused on several previously announced books and ended on two big license acquisitions. 

There’s arguably no bigger horror movie brand of the last 15 years than Blumhouse. While they have a handful of misses, they’ve delivered franchises like Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and The Black Phone, along with dozens of other standalone tales of terror.
