The Royal Australian Mint has released a new Bluey coin, based on the much-watched ‘Cricket’ episode from the animated children’s series. The colourful coin features Rusty, an impressive batter in the show, who hits a ball while Bluey cheers on from the field behind him. 

For families who know Bluey through make-believe games, sibling chaos and small everyday adventures, the appeal has always been bigger than a single episode. Mattel is now trying to turn that familiarity into something fans can physically play with across several of its best-known brands.
