Apple Watch Series 12 improves many of the core components that power watchOS and the device’s health and fitness features, plus unlocks new AI capabilities. Here’s everything new in Apple Watch Series 12 vs Series 11.

Apple has announced the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, bringing upgraded health sensors, continuous heart-rate sampling and new AI-powered features. CNET’s Vanessa Hand Orellana gives a first look at the new S11 chip, readiness tracking, ceramic models and battery life updates.

Longer battery life and a more capable chipset (that enables a host of new features) are the main reasons to upgrade.

The Television Academy is ready to continue awarding achievements from television shows aired between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026. So far, 102 awards have been announced already ahead of the official 78th live ceremony later this month.
