According to reporting from Tom’s Hardware, Anthropic’s Claude AI has quietly started restricting the kinds of work it will do, including modding, decompiling, or reverse-engineering video game code. And though there has as yet been no official announcement about why, the reason is still pretty obvious.  

It appearsAnthropicmay be (quietly) taking action to stem the flood of AI-driven game remakes that have hit the video game industry in the last few month, which saw users creating their own versions of classic and upcoming games, sometimes for fun, sometimes for financial gain.
