Continuing the highly fruitful licensing relationship between Netflix and NBCUniversal, the Syfy horror-noir series Revival is set to make its streaming debut on Netflix in the United States in late August 2026.

As we’ve been covering extensively over the past couple of years, Netflix has been aggressively dipping into the libraries of rival networks to bolster its domestic lineup. We’ve seen incredible success with NBCUniversal titles making the jump, particularly with USA Network’s Suits and Syfy’s Resident Alien, both of which enjoyed massive resurgences in viewership thanks to the much-coveted “Netflix bump.”

Next up to bat is Revival, the rural supernatural mystery that originally aired its first season on Syfy back in the summer of 2025.

For those unfamiliar, the show was created by Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce [1] and serves as a faithful adaptation of the hit Image Comics series of the same name by writer Tim Seeley and artist Mike Norton.

Headlined by Wynonna Earp fan-favorite Melanie Scrofano, the series also stars Romy Weltman, David James Elliott (JAG), and Andy McQueen (Outer Banks).

Here’s the official logline of what you can expect if you plan on diving in:

“On one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly return to life. But these are not zombies, as the ‘revived’ appear and behave just as they did before. As the mystery of this phenomenon fuels unrest, Dana Cypress, a down-on-her-luck and crass police officer and single mother, is thrust into a peculiar murder investigation—one where the murder victim is now alive, and everyone, whether living or revived, is a suspect.”

When is Revival coming to Netflix?

We’ve learned that all episodes of the first season will be touching down on Netflix US on Monday, August 24th, 2026.

It’s worth noting that, as of right now, this licensing deal appears to be strictly for the United States. International rights for Syfy shows can be incredibly fragmented (in Canada, for instance, the show originally aired on the CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave), so if you live in the UK, Australia, or elsewhere, you won’t be seeing it pop up on August 24th.

One of the more interesting aspects of this pickup is the show’s current status. Since its season 1 finale aired in late July 2025, Syfy has been completely quiet regarding a second season, leaving many fans fearing it was quietly canceled amidst the network’s broader shift away from scripted programming.

We’ve seen massive Netflix viewership effectively save shows in the past. If Revival can pull in some serious numbers and dominate the Netflix top 10s this August, could it spur a renewal or even prompt Netflix to take over the show themselves? It’s a long shot, but crazier things have happened.

For a full list of everything else coming to Netflix in August 2026, keep it locked right here on What’s on Netflix.
