A surprise hit Korean RPG from this year is officially making its way to the PlayStation. A console version of the game is in development for fans to check out.

DragonSword: Awakening PlayStation version details and release date have yet to be finalized

Developer Hound13 announced that its latest game, DragonSword: Awakening, was getting PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions in the future. The game launched on PC last week. Currently, no release date or even things such as specific console generations have yet to be announced.

After releasing this past week, the game has been a big hit. It sold over 200,000 units in its first week on PC, so the announcement of newer platforms makes some sense.

DragonSword: Awakening puts players in the open world of the Continent of Orbis. While on their adventure, players will have to recruit companions, take part in tag-team battles, and more to save the world from a Dragon that has reawakened after 60 years. The game boasts unique tag-team action using special Status Ailments, with each of the 19 heroes in the game possessing their own abilities that can chain together with each other to create some big combos.

“Long ago, a Dragon brought the continent to the brink of destruction, and six Heroes rose to save it. Now, 60 years later, a Dragon has appeared once more on the peaceful Continent of Orbis. You will take on a critical quest to find the Heroes of old and confront the returning Dragon’s threat. Tracing the footsteps of the legendary Heroes across the continent, you will uncover their hidden secrets. Until the boy Lute and his mercenary band rise to become the Heroes who will save the continent… Can they truly become the Dragon Sword, saviors of the continent, or will fate lead them down a different path?” reads the game’s official description.
